摘要： In a dust cover for a ball joint, one end of a ball stud is retained within a socket, the other end is fixed by fastening a knuckle having a notch portion, one end large-diameter and other end small-diameter opening portions are respectively retained to the socket and the shaft, and a plate member is retained between an inner peripheral surface of the knuckle and an outer peripheral surface of the shaft. The plate member is constructed by an annular plate member, an elastic annular seal portion integrally formed in an inner peripheral side of the annular plate member, and an elastic engagement projection in the annular plate member in the knuckle side, and engaging with the notch portion. The annular seal portion is retained in a compression manner between an annular step portion in an inner peripheral surface of the knuckle and an outer peripheral surface of the shaft.

摘要： A vehicular dust cover assembly including: an upper support; a bound stopper and a dust cover assembled to the upper support; and an engaging step provided on an outer circumferential surface of the bound stopper. A top end part of the dust cover is externally fit to a top end part of the bound stopper. The upper support includes an outer metal fitting having a fitting recess within which the top end part of the bound stopper is fit and assembled. An engaging projection is provided projecting on an inner surface of the fitting recess to be engaged with the engaging step with the dust cover interposed therebetween. The bound stopper includes an axial pushing operation surface exposed facing axially downward which is provided at a lower side than the engaging step and at a position inside the fitting recess.

摘要： Methods and apparatus are provided for an improved system for early detection of a fault in an EPS system for a vehicle. The apparatus includes a steering gear assembly including a temperature sensor and a pressure sensor for sensing within the steering gear assembly. A controller determines a relationship between the temperature value and the pressure value, and also determines whether the relationship is within a threshold of a reference relationship. The controller can provide an indication or message on a display when the relationship is not within the threshold of the reference relationship. The method includes monitoring a temperature and a pressure associated with an electronic power steering system for a vehicle during operation of the vehicle and determining a relationship between the temperature and the pressure. A fault indication or message is presented on a display when the relationship exceeds a threshold value from a reference relationship.
