摘要： A printing group of a printing press includes at least one form cylinder that has at least one axially extending opening on the external surface of the cylinder. That at least one axially extending opening forms a channel in the cylinder and in which channel several printing form end retaining assemblies are provided. These retaining assemblies are provided in the channel on both sides of a center plane which bisects the form cylinder perpendicularly to its axis of rotation. A first one of these retaining assemblies that adjoins the center plane cooperates with a second retaining assembly, located on the other side of the center plane, to both engage the same printing form, in a first mode of operation. In a second mode of operation, the first retaining assembly cooperates with a third retaining assembly, that is located further away from the center plane, and on the same side thereof as the first retaining assembly, to engage a second printing form.

摘要： A printing group of a printing press includes at least one forme cylinder that has at least one axially extending opening on the external surface of the cylinder. 摘要： A printing unit of a printing press is comprised of at least two frame parts, the position of at least one of which, relative to the other, can be changed. Cooperating ones of these frame parts are placed against each other along a common joining surface, in a first operational position. These frame parts are separated from each other in a second operational position. An interstice, that is partly defined by these frame parts, is formed between the separated frame parts in the printing unit. At least one of the cooperating frame parts is supported so that it is movable along an adjustment path. At least one sensor is provided and is usable to monitor the interstice. The sensor has orientation characteristics or a sensory range along the joining surface. An aperture width of a first angular aperture of the orientation characteristics or of the sensory range is smaller than a respective aperture width of a second or third angular aperture of the orientation characteristic or sensory range. The aperture width of the first angular aperture of the orientation characteristic or the sensory range is oriented parallel to the adjustment path of the movable frame path. The aperture width of the second angular aperture of the orientation characteristic or the sensory range is oriented in an axial direction of at least one printing group cylinder which is mounted on the movable frame panel. An aperture width of the third angular aperture of the orientation characteristic or the sensory range is oriented in the direction of a height of the movable frame panel.

A web, or a partial web, which has been printed by the second printing unit, and which has passed through the dryer, can be diverted by 90° from a direction of conveyance that is perpendicular to a machine exit and can be guided in a direction of conveyance that is parallel to the machine exit.

The forme cylinder does not include a support element which interacts with the transfer cylinder. The forme cylinder has a shaft distance that can be adjusted during printing to adjust a contact pressure between the forme cylinder and the transfer cylinder. The forme cylinder may be covered with a waterless printing forme. The contact pressure between the forme cylinder and the transfer cylinder can be adjusted to a property, such as the compressibility, of the waterless printing forme.

Several such printing forms are made available at a distance from the printing press, at the end of at least one sheet extruder with a sheet exposure device. A particular printing form for the printing cylinder is distributed among mobile collector containers that are standing ready on the sheet extruder. Different mobile collection containers, with printing forms for the same printing cylinders are supplied to that printing cylinder. At a particular time, and on an operating side of the printing press, several such mobile collection containers are provided and are positioned adjacent each other in the axial direction of the print cylinder. Print forms for the assembly positions, which are arranged adjacent to each other on the print cylinder, in the axial direction of the print cylinder, and which have been provided to the printing press in the various mobile collection contains, are taken from the mobile collection containers and are provided on the assembly positions of the printing cylinder.
