Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure are related to state transition of a cell. An apparatus receives a monitoring occasion configuration for control information related to a discontinuous operation pattern of a cell, the monitoring occasion configuration indicating at least one monitoring occasion that is before activation of the discontinuous operation pattern or during a time when the discontinuous operation pattern is activated. The apparatus monitors the control information from the device at the at least one monitoring occasion, the control information at least indicating a state transition of the cell between an active state and a non-active state; and based on receiving the control information from the device, and determines, from the control information, the state transition of the cell between the active state and the non-active state.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for user equipment are provided. A method may include determining to transmit, upon data arrival on a logical channel, the data on a configured grant for the logical channel. The method may also include transmitting, based on the determination, the data on the configured grant to activate a cell. In an example embodiment, the transmission on the configured grant may be performed regardless of a current activation status of the cell for which the configured grant is configured, or a suspend status of the configured grant.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to mechanism for providing multiple transmission opportunities. Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to reporting beam failure. A terminal device detects a beam failure on one or more serving cells of the terminal device. If the beam failure is detected on the one or more serving cells, the terminal device obtains information concerning one or more candidate beams and the one or more serving cells. Each of the one or more candidate beams is associated with a respective one of the one or more serving cells. The terminal device then transmits at least a portion of the information to a network device associated with the one or more serving cells.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to mechanism for interactions for entering into the sleep mode. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, the network device transmits the information of go-to-sleep, GTS, to the terminal device on a lower layer (for example, the physical layer). The lower protocol layer informs the higher protocol layer (for example, the MAC layer) of the information of GTS. The terminal device determines how to monitor the physical downlink channel based on the information of GTS. Further, the terminal device may switch bandwidth part based on the information of GTS. In this way, the GTS is able to significantly save power.

Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to UP transmission for a device in an inactive state. The first device in an inactive state performs a small data transmission procedure between the first device and a second device and transmits an indication to the second device. The indication indicates the following a presence of non-small data transmission data to be transmitted by the first device and information associated with the data. Through this solution, the second device may make a proper and reasonable determination about whether to resume a radio resource control connection with the terminal device and whether to stop the ongoing small data transmission procedure.

Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from improved random access operations. For example, certain embodiments may benefit from improved random access in which multiple bandwidth parts are configured to a user equipment within one cell. A method, in certain embodiments, may include triggering a random access procedure at a user equipment. The method may also include switching at the user equipment from a first uplink bandwidth part that does not support a random access channel to a second uplink bandwidth part that has the random access channel configured after the triggering of the random access procedure. The switching may be autonomously performed by the user equipment. In addition, the method may include performing the random access procedure at the user equipment using the random access channel configured at the second uplink bandwidth part.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, devices and computer readable storage media for determining a transport block size (TBS) for Contention Free Random Access (CFRA) in a random access procedure. In example embodiments, a CFRA request is transmitted by a terminal device to a network device during a random access procedure. The terminal device receives a random access response to the CFRA request from the network device. The random access response indicates a TBS granted by the network device for use in transmission. Based on the granted TBS, the terminal device transmits, to the network device, a first data block with the granted TBS or a second data block to be transmitted and stored in a buffer. In this way, the data loss may be avoided, and the data transmission efficiency may be improved.
