摘要： A reproducing apparatus includes retrieving means for retrieving contents data from an electronic apparatus. The reproducing apparatus further includes reproducing means for reproducing the contents data retrieved from the electronic apparatus. The reproducing apparatus gathers episode information including information associated with the electronic apparatus about a reproduction episode of the contents data by the reproducing means, and stores the episode information in relationship with the contents data. The episode information includes information about a person or apparatus located near a user during at least part of the reproduction episode. The episode information may then be used to retrieve contents data.

摘要： The present invention is intended to automatically construct a database of contents data which are distributed over plural reproducing apparatuses and search this database on the basis of user's fragmentary memory. A contents sharing management system practiced as one embodiment of the invention comprises an episode server installed at user's home and plural reproducing apparatuses including a component stereo set, portable player, portable wireless terminal, and MD player, which are interconnected in a wireless manner based on wireless communication technologies such as Bluetooth. The episode server wirelessly connects to the portable player for example to get the episode information stored therein and organizes the retrieved episode information into a database. The episode server also searches the database upon request from the portable player to identify a source apparatus in which desired contents data are stored and supplies the retrieved contents data to the requesting portable player.

The apparatus includes a collector that collects posts regarding a posting subject that proceeds over time. A counting unit is included that counts a number of collected posts for each of different classes of posts. A display controller causes graphs to be displayed along a time-axis illustrating time-wise trends in the posts for each class together with additional information. The additional information is information that includes at least one of posts at respective times and information regarding the posting subject.

摘要： The present invention relates to an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, and a program in which a content piece matching preference information of a user or a content piece similar to a specified content piece can be searched for with a smaller amount of computation and can be provided to the user. Each of items of metadata (such as title, artist name, genre, review text, tempo, beat, and rhythm) of music is classified into any of cluster layers (first to n-th layers), and is classified (clustering) into a plurality of clusters provided in the cluster layers into which actual information of each of the items is classified. Then, instead of the metadata, cluster information including cluster IDs (such as CL11 in FIG. 2) of the clusters into which actual information of each of the items of metadata is classified is compiled in a database as information indicating the features of music. The present invention can be applied to a homepage server for recommending a purchase of content such as music data, a video recorder for recommending a recording reservation of a television program, and the like.
