Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a first reader electrically reading a first information in a non-contact manner; a second reader electrically or magnetically reading a second information; a touch panel electrically detecting the contact or proximity of an object; and a CPU electrically connected to the first reader, the second reader, and the touch panel. The CPU exclusively controls an ON/OFF of the first reading function of the first reader and an ON/OFF of the input detection function of the touch panel, based on a detection that the communication medium is placed in a predetermined position with respect to the first reader or a detection that the card is placed in a predetermined position with respect to the second reader.

Abstract: A payment terminal is provided, which is a composite terminal capable of selecting a plurality of payment methods. The payment terminal includes a touch panel that electrically detects a contact or a proximity of an object as an input detection function, and an antenna for non-contact communication with a communication medium storing information for non-contact payment. The antenna is arranged around the touch panel, and outputs radio waves for the non-contact communication by receiving a power supply. When the non-contact payment is selected, the payment terminal turns ON the power supply to the antenna and turns OFF the input detection function of the touch panel. When the non-contact payment is completed, the payment terminal turns OFF the power supply to the antenna and turns ON the input detection function of the touch panel.

Abstract: A payment terminal includes a camera configured to capture an image, a card slot for inserting a contact type IC card, and a panel arrangement surface on which a touch panel is arranged. A lens of the camera, the card slot, and the panel arrangement surface are arranged in order in the height direction from a placement surface of the payment terminal. The panel arrangement surface is oriented obliquely upward toward a user positioned in front of the card slot. An optical axis direction of the lens is obliquely upward toward the user, and the lens is provided closer to the user than the card slot.
