Abstract: A charging coil of a portable terminal charging apparatus is provided with a first detection coil, and a second detection coil disposed inward of the first detection coil and having a smaller diameter than a diameter of the first detection coil. The first and second detection coils are connected to a controller. If the ratio (V2/V1) of a second voltage (V2) detected by the second detection coil to a first voltage (V1) detected by the first detection coil is less than a first set value held in a memory between starting of conduction of the charging coil and connection of a charging load of the portable terminal, the controller performs a safety operation.

Abstract: This handheld-terminal charging device has a plurality of charging coils, a plurality of detection coils, and a control unit that is electrically connected to said charging coils and detection coils. The control unit drives the plurality of detection coils and watches for impedance changes that said detection coils detect when thus driven. If a detection coil detects an impedance change, a charging coil corresponding to said detection coil is selected from among the plurality of charging coils and a magnetic field is outputted from the selected charging coil. If a response signal that has been agreed upon with a handheld terminal is received in response to said magnetic field, the selected charging coil is used to charge said handheld terminal.

Abstract: This mobile terminal charging device has a support plate in which the front surface-side part is where a mobile terminal is installed, a charging coil disposed facing the support plate on the rear surface-side of the support plate, a plurality of detection coils concentrically disposed in the charging coil on a surface opposite the support plate, and a control unit connected to the detecting coils. When a charging operation is carried out, the control unit compares the difference between a voltage value detected using a first detecting coil among the plurality of detecting coils, and a voltage value detected using two detecting coils from a group comprising the first detecting coil and at least one detecting coil disposed outward of the first detecting coil. In addition, the control unit executes a safety operation in accordance with the results of the comparison.

Abstract: A portable terminal charging device includes a large diameter detection coil arranged between a charging coil and a portable terminal, and a further detection coil arranged inward of the large diameter detection coil and having a smaller diameter than the large diameter detection coil. The large diameter detection coil and the further detection coil detect a state of a foreign metal object by finding out a decrease in the magnetic flux of an inward section of the charging coil and conversely finding out an increase in the magnetic flux of an outward section thereof, if the foreign metal object is present between a portable terminal installation unit of a support plate and the portable terminal.

Abstract: In a mobile-terminal charging device, a controller performs a safety operation in a case where a resonance frequency detected by a foreign object detection coil corresponding to a location where a charging coil is present is higher than a reference resonance frequency stored in a memory, or a resonance voltage detected by a foreign object detection coil corresponding to a location where the charging coil is present is lower than a reference resonance voltage stored in the memory.

Abstract: A contactless charging device includes a placement plate on which a portable apparatus is placed, a charging coil, a position detector having a position detection coil, a foreign object detector having a foreign object detection coil, an alarm, and a controller. The position detection coil and the foreign object detection coil are disposed on or under the placement plate. The controller drives the alarm if the foreign object detector detects the presence of a conductive foreign object on the placement plate, and then the position detector detects the portable apparatus on the placement plate.
