    Abstract: An electronic device includes a power button, a fingerprint sensor, and a controller. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the power button. The controller connects to the fingerprint sensor and the power button. The controller performs a booting process of the electronic device when the power button is pushed by an external object. The controller then compares the fingerprint pattern of the external object sensed by the fingerprint sensor with a previously stored fingerprint pattern. If the fingerprint pattern does not match the previously stored fingerprint pattern, the controller stops the booting process.

    Abstract: A computer and an automatic protection method thereof are provided. The automatic protection method includes the following steps. A sound receiving unit of the computer receives a sound signal. Whether a fan error event occurs is determined according to the sound signal. If the fan error event occurs, then a first data protection procedure is performed. Whether a disaster event occurs is determined according to the sound signal. If the disaster event occurs, then a second data protection procedure is performed. Whether the computer is at a locking status is determined. If the computer is at the locking status, then whether an information security hazard event occurs is determined according to the sound signal. If the information security hazard event occurs, then a third data protection procedure is performed.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a battery module, a first switch circuit, a connector, a voltage stabilizer and a controller circuit. The controller circuit is coupled to the connector and the first switch circuit. A configuration channel is implemented between the controller circuit and the connector. When a voltage of the battery module is lower than a threshold voltage and is only connected to a first power source, the first power source provides an activating voltage to the controller circuit through the voltage stabilizer, so as to enable the controller circuit. The connector sends a first detection signal to the controller circuit through the configuration channel. The controller circuit sends a first control signal to turn on the first switch circuit according to the first detection signal, so that the first power source charges the battery module through the first switch circuit.

    Abstract: A method of power management of a computer device includes a number of steps. When a decision element determines that the computer device must enter a power saving mode, the decision element generates a power saving mode signal. When an embedded controller detects the power saving mode signal, the embedded controller determines whether an NFC transceiving module is sending or receiving information. If the NFC transceiving module is sending or receiving information, the embedded controller postpones entering into the power saving mode by the computer device until the NFC transceiving module finishes sending or receiving information.
