    摘要: A rotatable wireless electrical coupler is disclosed that presents a wireless alternative to mechanical slip rings, such as are used in rotatable mechanical assemblies such as dome cameras. The rotatable wireless electrical coupler is designed to provide for the wireless transfer therethrough of electrical power, video and data signals. A rotatable multi-function transformer of the electrical coupler is designed primarily for the transfer of electrical power therethrough, and can also be used for the transfer of data signals. A rotatable electrical capacitor of the electrical coupler is designed primarily for the transfer of video data signals therethrough, and can also be used for the transfer of control and feedback data signals. In a dome camera, the rotatable wireless electrical coupler transfers power and data signals to and from a rotatable platform/section on which is mounted a video camera, pan and tilt motors and other associated electrical components.

The alarm reporting module further comprises at least two transceivers, the first of which is a wi-fi transceiver that communicates with a central monitoring station via a wireless access point further connected to an internet connection. The second transceiver is a cellular tranceiver that communicates with the central monitoring station via a cellular network further connected to an internet gateway. The second tranceiver provides redundancy in case the wireless access point or the first internet connection become unavailable.

    摘要: Security systems are disclosed in which intrusion security sensors provided on the perimeter of a protected space immediately activate a plurality of wireless RF, battery operated, low current drain security video cameras elsewhere in the protected space to enable pre-alarm video recording by the security video cameras. Each security video cameras is capable of operating in a standby inactive video mode, providing a low electrical power consumption, or in an active video recording mode. Each security sensor includes an RF transmitter for transmitting an RF security/alarm event message indicating detection of a security/alarm event. Upon detection of an alarm event by a security sensor, the security sensor transmits an RF security/alarm event message which causes the security system video cameras to awaken from the standby inactive video mode into the active video recording mode.

    摘要: A multi-stage verification system including a first and second identification device to verify the identity of the user and to determine if the user is under duress. When a user approaches an entrance to a building, a first identifier is detected by the first identification device, the identifier is compared to a pre-stored identifier. If there is a match, the user inputs at least one biometric input into the second identification device. The biometric input is compares with pre-stored information in two different databases, a biometric template database and a duress indicator database. If there is a match with the duress indicator database, a silent alarm signal is transmitted to a central monitoring station and the security system is disarmed. If there is a match with the biometric template database, the security system is controlled in the intended manner.

    摘要: A security system includes biometric authentication such as voice authentication with wireless tag detection to identify both the user and a wireless tag carried by the user. When the user approaches the entrance to a building that is secured by the security system, a tag detector of a user interface receives an identifier from the tag. The user interface transmits the tag identifier to a base station for comparison to pre-stored tag identifiers in a database. If there is a match, the user is prompted to provide a biometric input, such as by speaking a pre-arranged phrase. The biometric input is compared with templates stored in the database to determine if there is a match. If there is a match, the security system is disarmed. The template can be selected based on the tag identifier to improve processing speed.

    摘要: A POE (power over Ethernet)-prioritized active splitter is disclosed for a prioritized network having different priorities such as a network security system that uses an intelligent POE power supply with a prioritized back-up response, allowing a lower cost UPS (uninterruptible power supply) system to be used, and also providing a longer back-up time period by the UPS system for more critical components of the security system. A simple embodiment operates with only two priority levels, a high priority level for more critical components of the, such as the cable modem, the system router, fire alarm devices, local warning devices and the alarm communicator, while less critical components are supplied with electrical power at the low priority level. In the event of a power outage or disconnection, the critical high priority components remain connected to the Ethernet network to be supplied with electrical power by the UPS system and also to communicate over the twisted wire pairs of the Ethernet network.
