Abstract:
A method for associating a new gathering node in a distributed wireless communication network, each gathering node includes at least one access-point radio-frequency interface and/or a user node of a so-called gathering wireless network associated with the communication network, the method being performed by a management node of the network and including the steps of receiving a message which include information that a new gathering node is to be associated, sending a command activating a so-called association radio-frequency interface, receiving a message indicating that a new gathering node is associated with an existing gathering node, determining a first validation of association of the new gathering node, and, if the association is validated, then sending, to the new gathering node, information on parameterisings includes information necessary for an association of the new node with the gathering wireless network of the network.
Abstract:
A method for reactivating a wireless communication network in accordance with one of the IEEE 802.11 standards is described. The communication network comprises a plurality of gathering nodes, each gathering node comprising at least one access-point and/or user radio-frequency interface and/or a user of a so-called backhaul wireless network associated with the communication network, which are deactivated in sending mode, A beacon frame sent by a master node of the reactivation method is propagated gradually in order to reactivate all the nodes in the network.
Abstract:
A method for managing a communication channel used by a plurality of Wi-Fi devices of a Wi-Fi network of the backhaul type for implementing a backhaul network in said Wi-Fi network. A first Wi-Fi device in the plurality performs the method and comprises: detecting a disconnection from an initial channel used by the plurality of Wi-Fi devices for implementing the backhaul network of a second Wi-Fi device in the plurality connected directly to the first Wi-Fi device; listening on a backup channel, to which the second Wi-Fi device is able to migrate to implement the backhaul network in the event of detection, by the second Wi-Fi device, of a radar signal on the initial channel; causing the first Wi-Fi device to migrate to the backup channel in the event of reception on the backup channel by the first Wi-Fi device of a frame containing an identifier of the second device.
Abstract:
A residential gateway (110) has a memory space (132), comprising at least one private memory space (130), made available to at least one device (111; 112) connected to a local area network (120). The residential gateway comprises: a table (140) managing rights of access to said private memory space or spaces; means for receiving commands for access to said memory space and administrator commands for updating said access rights management table; means for updating said table, on receipt of an administrator command coming from a predetermined device implementing an administrator module, and for ignoring any administrator command coming from another device; and means (150) for ignoring any command for access to said private memory space or spaces, when said command is received coming from a device not identified in said table.
