Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure can relate to a process for transmitting a pump-off pressure profile for formation integrity testing within a limited bandwidth. For example, a process may include measuring pump-off pressure data. The pump-off pressure data represents the pump-off pressure profile. The method also includes determining, from the pump-off pressure data, a pump-off pressure data portion corresponding to a formation integrity testing characteristic. The method also includes compressing pump-off pressure data portion with a compression protocol to produce compression bits. The compression bits representing the pump-off pressure data portion corresponding to the formation integrity testing characteristic. The method also includes transmitting, via a communication module, the compression bits to a computing device.

Abstract: A method for transmitting data from a downhole tool to a surface location includes running a downhole tool into a wellbore. The downhole tool includes a pressure sensor. An annulus pressure in the wellbore is measured at a first time, using the pressure sensor, to produce a first pressure measurement. The first pressure measurement is compressed to produce a reference sample. The reference sample is transmitted to the surface location. The annulus pressure in the wellbore is measured at a second time, using the pressure sensor, to produce a second pressure measurement. A difference between the first pressure measurement and the second pressure measurement is determined to produce a first delta pressure measurement. The first delta pressure measurement is compressed to produce a first compressed delta pressure measurement. The first compressed delta pressure measurement is transmitted to the surface location.

Abstract: A method for transmitting data from a downhole tool is provided. In one embodiment, the method includes acquiring data for a formation fluid through downhole fluid analysis with a downhole tool in a well. The acquired data can include optical spectrum data measured with a spectrometer and other data. The method also includes generating time blocks of the acquired data and transmitting the time blocks from the downhole tool. More particularly, generating the time blocks may include compressing at least some of the optical spectrum data according to a first compression technique and compressing at least some of the other data according to one or more additional compression techniques. The compressed data can be packaged into the time blocks such that at least some of the time blocks include both compressed optical spectrum data and compressed other data for the formation fluid. Additional methods, systems, and devices are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for transmitting data from a downhole tool to a surface location includes running a downhole tool into a wellbore. The downhole tool includes a pressure sensor.
