Abstract: An actuator includes a motor, a rotation transmitting member, a reverse input preventing device, a converting device, and a rod. The motor includes a rotating shaft. The rotation transmitting member is configured to transmit rotation of the rotating shaft. The reverse input preventing device includes an input member and an output member. The reverse input preventing device is configured to prevent external force input to the output member from being transmitted to the input member. The converting device includes a nut that rotates according to the rotation of the output member. The converting device is configured to convert a rotary motion of the nut into a linear motion. The rod is configured to advance and retract according to the linear motion of the converting device. The input member and the rotation transmitting member are integrated. The output member and the nut are integrated.

Abstract: A steer-by-wire steering device includes a first member, a second member, and stoppers. The first member is rotatable together with the input shaft, and includes a first protrusion protruding from the input shaft in the radial direction. The second member includes a second protrusion protruding on the trajectory of the first protrusion, and is rotatable together with the first member with the first protrusion being abutting the second protrusion. The stoppers are provided at respective positions capable of abutting on the trajectory of the second protrusion only when the second member is rotated by the first member.

Abstract: A steering angle restricting device includes an input shaft that is rotated when a steering wheel is turned, a first member that includes a first base which surrounds the input shaft and is capable of rotating together with the input shaft, and a first protrusion that protrudes in the radial direction or in the axial direction from the first base, a second member that includes a second base that surrounds the first base, and a second protrusion that protrudes from the second base and on the trajectory of the first protrusion. The second member is capable of rotating together with the first member only in the state in which the first protrusion is abutting the second protrusion, and a stopper that is provided on the trajectory of the second protrusion and is capable of restricting the turning of the steering wheel via the input shaft when the second protrusion abuts.

The detecting section detects a length of a portion of the section to be detected that has entered into the detecting section. The rod has a bottomed cylindrical portion that is open toward the one end side. The section to be detected is fixed to a bottom surface of the bottomed cylindrical portion. When the rod is maximally extended, the support member supports an outer peripheral surface of the bottomed cylindrical portion. When the rod is maximally contracted, the detecting section is at least partly housed in the bottomed cylindrical portion.
