    Abstract: There is provided a method of producing 1,2,3,4-tetrachlorobutane capable of stably and economically producing 1,2,3,4-tetrachlorobutane. A reactant solution (1) containing 3,4-dichloro-1-butene is charged in a reaction vessel (11) having an inner surface, to be brought into contact with the reactant solution (1), made of a metal and a chlorine gas is introduced into the reactant solution (1) to perform a reaction between 3,4-dichloro-1-butene and the chlorine gas to produce 1,2,3,4-tetrachlorobutane. The reaction is performed while carrying out an operation of taking out at least a portion of the reactant solution (1) from the reaction vessel (11), filtering the reactant solution (1) thus taken out to remove a solid matter, and returning the filtered reactant solution (1) into the reaction vessel (11).

    Abstract: Provided is a method for producing tetrafluoromethane, and the method is unlikely to damage a reaction apparatus and can produce tetrafluoromethane safely, inexpensively, and stably.     Abstract: Fluorine gas is introduced to a raw material liquid containing a reaction inducer and a fluorinated hydrocarbon represented by CpHqClrFs (in the formula, p is an integer of 3 to 18, q is an integer of 0 to 3, r is an integer of 0 to 9, and s is an integer of 5 to 30) and having no carbon-carbon unsaturated bond to give tetrafluoromethane. The reaction inducer is a halogen-containing carbon compound liquid at room temperature and pressure and is reacted with fluorine gas to induce a reaction of forming tetrafluoromethane from the fluorinated hydrocarbon and the fluorine gas. The reaction inducer is contained at a content of more than 0% by mass and not more than 10% by mass when the total content of the fluorinated hydrocarbon and the reaction inducer contained in the raw material liquid is 100% by mass.

    Abstract: Provided is a method for producing hexafluoro-1,3-butadiene, and the method can produce hexafluoro-1,3-butadiene at an industrially sufficient level of yield. In a reaction liquid containing a halogenated butane represented by chemical formula, CF2X1—CFX2—CFX3—CF2X4 (X1, X2, X3, and X4 are each independently a halogen atom other than a fluorine atom), zinc, and an organic solvent, a reaction is conducted to eliminate the halogen atoms other than a fluorine atom, X1, X2, X3, and X4, from the halogenated butane, yielding hexafluoro-1,3-butadiene. During the reaction, the concentration of a zinc halide generated by the reaction, in the reaction liquid is not more than the solubility of the zinc halide in the organic solvent.
