An antenna device includes: a slot antenna unit configured to be positioned on a shield plate disposed in a rear side of a display; and a communication module configured to be connected to the slot antenna unit, to transmit and receive a signal to and from an external wireless device via the slot antenna unit. The slot antenna unit is exposed toward the display to radiate an antenna signal to the display.

A signal transfer apparatus includes a housing, an interface provided at a housing to be connected to an external device to transmit a signal to or receive a signal from the external device, an external case configured to cover the housing, an antenna unit configured to be a slot antenna, and a communication module which is connected to the slot antenna and transmits a signal to or receives a signal from an external wireless device through the slot antenna, a controller provided in the housing to be electrically connected to the interface and the antenna unit, and transmit an external signal received through the interface or the antenna unit directly to a display apparatus or convert the external signal and transmit the converted signal to the display apparatus.

A pairing apparatus and method are provided. The pairing apparatus includes: a first communicator configured to broadcast a search signal over a first communication method, and to receive, from the external communication apparatus, a first response signal in response to the search signal; a second communicator configured to receive a second response signal via a second communication method having a shorter transmission range than the first communication method; and a controller configured to, in response to the first communicator receiving the first response signal and the second communicator receiving the second response signal, control to perform a pairing with the external communication apparatus, wherein the second communicator is periodically activated while the pairing apparatus is turned on, and an activation period of the second communicator is set adaptively according to a transmission period of the second response signal.

The content providing method of an electronic apparatus includes receiving schedule information from an external server, where a plurality of VOD contents are allocated to a plurality of channels, receiving, in response to a command to select a channel corresponding to a first VOD content from among the plurality of VOD contents being input, the first VOD content from a content providing server based on address information of the first VOD content included in the schedule information, and outputting the received first VOD content.

A data transmission method is provided, including adjusting a data transmission speed when a number of retransmission of a data transmission unit reaches a predetermined number, wherein the retransmission is performed when a transmission failure occurs, transferring the data transmission unit at the adjusted data transmission speed, and readjusting the adjusted data transmission speed to a basic data transmission speed when data transmission is successful, and reducing the basic data transmission speed when at least one of a retransmission rate and a number of the transmission failure satisfies a predetermined threshold condition.
