Abstract:
Disclosed is an electronic device. The electronic device may include a plurality of interfaces each of which is connected to one peripheral electronic device in a wired manner to deliver power to the connected peripheral electronic device, a power supply circuit connected to the plurality of interfaces, and a control circuit including a plurality of pins each connected to one interface to allow the power supply circuit to supply power to the plurality of interfaces. In addition, various embodiments understood from the disclosure are possible.
Abstract:
An antenna for an electronic device is disclosed that can reduce or prevent problems such as a shock hazard and/or an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) issue, particularly in the case when device are subjected to impact such as being dropped. The antenna includes a radiator; an antenna clip connected with a metallic housing of the electronic device; a capacitor includes a part of the antenna clip; and a feeding part and a ground for operating the antenna.
Abstract:
A connecting device is provided that connects first and second external electronic devices with different types of interfaces. The connecting device includes a first connector corresponding to a first type of connection configuration of a first external electronic device, a second connector corresponding to a second type of connection configuration of a second external electronic device, a plurality of signal lines connecting at least a portion of a row of pins included in the first connector to at least a portion of a row of pins included in the second connector, and a switching circuit connected to a recognition pin of the first connector. The switching circuit connects either a first resistor or a second resistor to the recognition pin included in the first connector, according to a control of an identification pin included in the second connector.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for determining a valid user input in an electronic device is provided. The electronic device generally includes a touch unit included in a touch input circuit, wherein the touch unit corresponds to a touch area, a signal generator configured to transmit a signal to a first signal line and a second signal line by generating the signal, a signal measuring device configured to measure a part of a modified signal based on the transmitted signal, and a signal determiner configured to determine whether a user input is provided to the touch area based on the measured signal. The first signal line connects the signal generator and the touch unit, and the second signal line extends from the signal generator and is parallel with the first signal line.
Abstract:
An electronic device includes: a first switching regulator configured to output a predetermined voltage to a first unit of an electronic device through on/off switching corresponding to a control signal received from a switching control unit; a second switching regulator configured to output a predetermined voltage to a second unit of the electronic device through on/off switching corresponding to a control signal received from the switching control unit; and a switching control unit configured to determine an off timing of each switching regulator corresponding to an on/off duty ratio of the each switching regulator and control on/off of the each switching regulator in order to turn on the second switching regulator at an off timing of the first switching regulator.
