    Abstract: A polarity-selectable high voltage direct current power supply including a first drive assembly that transforms a first low voltage DC input into a first medium voltage alternating current output; a first HV output assembly that transforms the first LV AC output into a first HV DC output, wherein the first HV output assembly defines a first input stage; a polarity selector coupled between the second output junction of the first drive assembly and the first and second input stages of the first HV output assembly, the polarity selector operable between a first configuration and a second configuration; wherein in the first configuration the first HV DC output has a positive polarity; and wherein in the second configuration the first HV DC output has a negative polarity.

    Abstract: A PD device comprises: a DC/DC converter disposed between an input and a VBUS output; a primary-side controller configured to control an input current of the DC/DC converter; a signal conversion and switching circuit coupled to a control input and configured to executes signal conversion and switching; an output capacitor CO connected between the VBUS output and the signal conversion and switching circuit; and a secondary-side controller coupled to the signal conversion and switching circuit, and configured to receive the control input signals subjected to the signal conversion and switching executed in the signal conversion and switching circuit, and to feed back the control input signals to the primary-side controller. The primary-side controller varies an output voltage value and an available output current value (MAX value) of the DC/DC converter by controlling the input current on the basis of the control input signals fed back from the secondary-side controller.

    Abstract: A power supply device includes a battery, an inverter, a converter, an electronic control unit. The inverter includes an upper arm having a third switching element and a lower arm having a fourth switching element. The converter includes an upper arm having a first switching element and a lower arm having a second switching element. The electronic control unit is configured to, when a state where the primary-side voltage is at least equal to the specified threshold continues for a specified time or longer, i) increase the primary-side voltage by repeatedly switching the second switching element between ON and OFF state while maintaining the first switching element to be OFF state, and apply the increased voltage as the secondary-side voltage to the inverter, and ii) convert the secondary-side voltage to the AC voltage by repeatedly switching each of the third and the fourth switching element between ON and OFF state.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling a power conversion system are provided. The power conversion system includes a power converter comprising a primary stage coupled to a secondary stage to generate an output direct current (DC) voltage from an input voltage received from an input voltage source. The power conversion system also includes a control circuit coupled to the power converter. The control circuit is configured to implement a self-adjusting set-point control algorithm to generate the output DC voltage without using an input voltage measurement, wherein the output DC voltage follows the input voltage over at least a portion of an input voltage range.
