Abstract:
An electronic device and a method for changing modes according to external devices connected through a universal serial bus (USB) and controlling the strength of signals communicated according to changed modes are provided. The method includes detecting a connection with an external device corresponding to booting of the electronic device, determining a mode of the electronic device according to the detected connection with the external device, varying a characteristic setting of an input output (IO) buffer to a certain strength corresponding to the determined mode, and communicating a signal at a strength corresponding to the varied setting.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an electronic device and a method for authenticating a fingerprint in an electronic device, the electronic device performs operations including: performing an authentication process for an input fingerprint based on registered authentication information; when the authentication of the input fingerprint is successfully performed, detecting similarity information of the input fingerprint; storing the detected similarity information in conjunction with an authentication time in a fingerprint information database; and updating the registered authentication information using at least one piece of stored fingerprint information based on the similarity information stored in the fingerprint information database, thereby making it possible to prevent and/or reduce the fingerprint authentication rate from being decreased based on the change of the fingerprint so that security can be maintained.
Abstract:
A method, electronic device apparatus and a cable apparatus for reducing crosstalk in a signal transmitted to an electronic device through the cable apparatus are disclosed. The cable apparatus has a plurality of signal lines. The device and method may determine a relevant communication scheme, activate the relevant communication scheme by electrically coupling at least one of the plurality of signal lines of the cable apparatus correlating to the activated relevant communication scheme. At least one of the plurality of signal lines of the cable apparatus not correlating to the activated relevant communication scheme is electrically grounded.
