Abstract:
Disclosed is a control method for transmitting charging power to a wireless power receiver in a wireless power transmitter, wherein a connection request signal is transmitted to the wireless power receiver for forming a communication connection between the wireless power transmitter and the wireless power receiver, based on information about a characteristic of an advertisement signal transmitted to the wireless power transmitter, the advertisement signal including a handle value for a preset universally unique identifier, the wireless power receiver is registered to a wireless power network corresponding to the wireless power transmitter through the communication connection, and wireless charging power is transmitted to the wireless power receiver after registering the wireless power receiver.
Abstract:
A control method for performing wireless charging in a wireless power receiver is disclosed. The control method includes receiving charging power from a wireless power transmitter; detecting transition of the wireless power receiver from a Stand Alone (SA) mode to a Non Stand Alone (NSA) mode; upon detecting the mode transition, generating a message including address information used to re-connect with the wireless power transmitter; and transmitting the message to the wireless power transmitter.
Abstract:
A control method for transmitting charging power to a wireless power receiver in a wireless power transmitter is provided. The control method includes receiving a Power Transmission Unit (PTU) searching signal for searching for a wireless power transmitter, from the wireless power receiver; obtaining information about an identifier of a signal in a communication scheme used by the wireless power receiver; and exchanging signals with the wireless power receiver based on the information about the identifier of the signal in the communication scheme used by the wireless power receiver.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses for performing wireless charging are disclosed. A method of controlling a wireless power receiver includes receiving, through a power receiving circuit, a first power from a wireless power transmitter when the wireless power receiver is powered off; driving a communication controller using the received first power; establishing, by the communication controller, a communication connection with the wireless power transmitter, using a first communication stack stored in a first memory, while receiving the first power; and performing, by the communication controller, communication with the wireless power transmitter.

Disclosed is a control method for transmitting charging power to a wireless power receiver in a wireless power transmitter, including receiving an advertisement signal from a wireless power receiver, the advertisement signal including a handle value and a preset universally unique identifier (UUID), identifying a value assigned to a characteristic by adding a predetermined number to the handle value, transmitting a connection request signal to the wireless power receiver for establishing a communication connection with the wireless power receiver, in response to the advertisement signal, receiving, from the wireless power receiver, static information of the wireless power receiver over the communication connection, and transmitting, based on the static information, a control signal including permission information to the wireless power receiver.

Abstract:
A method for controlling an abnormal state of a wireless Power Receiving Unit (PRU) is provided. The method includes measuring a temperature by a period shorter than a previous measurement period when a temperature measured by the wireless PRU in response to a transmission of power from a wireless Power Transmitting Unit (PTU) is higher than a temperature required to be monitored; determining whether the measured temperature is higher than a temperature at which a load switch connected to a charging unit is turned off if the measured temperature is equal to or higher than the temperature required to be monitored; and turning off the load switch if the measured temperature is higher than the temperature at which the load switch is turned off.
