Abstract:
A method for controlling an electronic device including a charging circuit is provided. The method includes receiving power wirelessly from a power transmitting device; rectifying the received power; based on a voltage of the rectified power being greater than or equal to an allowable voltage of the charging circuit, controlling to convert the rectified power through a converting circuit of the electronic device and to output the converted power to the charging circuit for charging a battery of the electronic device, wherein the allowable voltage relates to a maximum voltage or a preferable voltage to be applied to the charging circuit; and based on the voltage of the rectified power being less than the allowable voltage of the charging circuit, controlling to stop converting the rectified power and to output the rectified power to the charging circuit by connecting the rectifying circuit to the charging circuit.

Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided for controlling a wireless power receiver for wirelessly receiving power. A drive power for driving the wireless power receiver is received from a wireless power transmitter. A communication network is established with the wireless power transmitter. A wireless power network that is controlled by the wireless power transmitter is joined. A charge power is received from the wireless power transmitter.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses for performing wireless charging are disclosed. One of the disclosed apparatuses is a wireless power transmitter which can receive charging power from a wireless power transmitter. When the wireless power transmitter detects a transition from a Stand Alone (SA) mode to a Non Stand Alone (NSA) mode, it generates a message that includes address information used to re-connect with the wireless power transmitter and transmits the message to the wireless power transmitter.
Abstract:
A wireless power receiver (PRU) and a method for generating a load of the PRU for detecting the PRU in a wireless charging system are provided. The method includes receiving a wireless power signal from a wireless power transmitter (PTU), rectifying the received wireless power signal into a direct current (DC) signal, and generating a load for detecting the PRU by controlling a current flowing across a resistor connected in parallel with a load charged with power of the DC signal.
Abstract:
