Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for optimizing service recovery during manual closed subscription group (CSG) cell selection in a long term evolution (LTE) network. A user equipment (UE) receives a registration rejection with a temporary cause from a network of a CSG cell selected through the manual CSG cell selection. It is determined from the registration rejection whether the temporary cause comprises a cause value that allows the UE to return to a saved or previously visited public land mobile network (PLMN). Service recovery of the UE is performed with a registered PLMN (RPLMN), if the temporary cause does not comprise the cause value that allows the UE to return to the saved or previously visited PLMN.
Abstract:
A wireless communication method supporting a Rich Communication Suite (RCS) service, the method including performing an RCS provision operation corresponding to an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) application in response to an RCS service request of the OEM application, transmitting an RCS function connection request to a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) transport layer after the RCS provision operation is completed, controlling a session for an RCS function based on the RCS function connection request to obtain a dedicated bearer, and exchanging RCS media data with a network through the dedicated bearer.
Abstract:
A method and a wireless network system are provided for paging reception optimization in a first terminal. The method includes establishing, by the first terminal, a Device-to-Device (D2D) communication with a second terminal; receiving, by the first terminal, paging information from the second terminal; receiving, by the first terminal, a paging message from a network; and sending a paging notification to the second terminal upon receiving a paging message for the second terminal.
Abstract:
A method of establishing Internet protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem (IMS) sessions at a mobile originating (MO) device includes establishing, with a mobile terminating (MT) device, a first IMS session over a first network, determining that the MO device failed to receive a response from the first network within a predefined time period after the establishing of the first IMS session, establishing, with the MT device, a second IMS session over a second network, based on the determining that the MO device failed to receive the response from the first network, terminating, based on a content of a dedicated bearer, at least one of the first IMS session or the second IMS session, and communicating with the MT device over a remaining IMS session from the at least one of the first IMS session or the second IMS session.
Abstract:
A method of disconnecting a packet data network (PDN) connection or a packet data protocol (PDP) connection from an access point name (APN) by a user equipment (UE), including sending, to a network apparatus, a signaling message to request disconnecting the PDN connection or the PDP connection from the APN, wherein the signaling message includes an information element (IE), and receiving a deactivate request message from the network apparatus which deactivates the PDN connection or the PDP connection, in response to the signaling message.
