Abstract:
Provided are a method and an apparatus for moving an object in a terminal having a touch screen. The method of moving an object in a terminal having a touch screen, includes detecting a first touch on the touch screen, determining whether a contact time of multi-touch exceeds a threshold time when the first touch is the multi-touch, changing an operation mode of the terminal from a standby mode to a moving mode when the contact time of the multi-touch exceeds the threshold time, and moving an object in response to motion of second touch when the operation mode of the terminal is the moving mode.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for providing a shortcut service in an electronic device. A method for providing a shortcut service for service execution in an electronic device includes, when a shortcut service button input and a shortcut service gesture are sensed, confirming a service mapped to the shortcut service button and the shortcut service gesture, and executing the service mapped to the shortcut service button and the shortcut service gesture.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for moving contents on a screen in a terminal which allows a user to scroll in various directions within a contents page larger than a screen. An initial threshold region is established, which surrounds an initial touch point over displayed contents. A drag movement is detected from the initial touch point to a current touch point breaching the initial threshold region. The contents are moved in the direction of the drag movement if the current touch point is outside predetermined X and Y channels. The contents are moved in only the X or Y direction if the current touch point is within the X or Y channel, respectively. Thus, linear scroll of contents can be produced despite an unintentional nonlinear drag movement.
Abstract:
A push message service method and system capable of allowing a service server to develop a standardized push message format to keep up with different Operating Systems (OSs)-based multiple platforms environment or single user account-multiple platforms environment and preventing push messages from being lost is provided. The multi-push message system supporting multiple platforms includes at least one service server which generates a multi-push message including per-terminal granted push tokens and messages (pns) to be transmitted per push server, a multi-push message manager which checks validity of the multi-push message, parses the multi-push message, generates push messages corresponding to types of the platforms of the push servers based on the messages (pns), and sends the push message to the respective push servers, and a push server which transmits the push message to the terminal corresponding to the push token.

Abstract:
A semiconductor device includes a sequence data generator, which is configured to generate sequence data on a plurality of data lines, and a symbol changer. The symbol changer is configured to generate a training pattern from the sequence data by replacing, for each of the plurality of data lines, each occurrence of a bitstream within the sequence data that has a predetermined symbol with an alternative symbol. The sequence data generator may include a sequence generator, which is configured to generate a pseudo random binary sequence (PRBS), based on a seed value for each clock cycle.
