Abstract: An electronic device may include a processor, and a battery configured to supply power to the processor. The battery may include multiple first electrodes including first tabs configured to protrude toward a first direction, multiple second electrodes including second tabs configured to protrude toward the first direction, and a separator configured to restrict contact between the multiple first electrodes and the multiple second electrodes. The separator may include a first separator configured to be folded in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction or a fourth direction opposite to the second direction, the first separator including multiple through-holes configured to accommodate the first tabs and the second tabs, and a second separator configured to be folded in the first direction or a third direction opposite to the first direction, the second separator being alternately stacked with the first separator. In addition, various embodiments may be possible.

Abstract: A battery includes: a negative electrode including a negative electrode substrate layer and a negative electrode active material-coated negative electrode mixture layer on the negative electrode substrate layer; a positive electrode facing the negative electrode, the positive electrode including: a positive electrode substrate layer; a positive electrode active material-coated positive electrode mixture layer provided on the positive electrode substrate layer; and a barrier layer configured to suppress transfer of ions from the positive electrode active material-coated positive electrode mixture layer; and a separator provided between the negative electrode and the positive electrode, wherein the positive electrode active material-coated positive electrode mixture layer includes a first area at a center area of the positive electrode active material-coated positive electrode mixture layer and a second area at an edge of the positive electrode active material-coated positive electrode mixture layer, and wherein the barrier layer covers at least a portion of the second area and is further configured to limit direct transfer of the ions from the first area to the negative electrode.

Abstract: A battery, according to one embodiment of the present invention, may comprise: a pouch; an electrode assembly received in the pouch in a state in which a positive electrode substrate, a negative electrode substrate disposed below the positive electrode substrate, and a separator disposed between the positive electrode substrate and the negative electrode substrate are rolled up together; a first adhesive member for fixing at least one portion of one end of the electrode assembly to the rolled up outer surface of the electrode assembly; and a second adhesive member for providing fixing between the electrode assembly and the pouch at a region other than the region where the first adhesive member is disposed.
