    Abstract: An electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an interface; a sensor; and a processor that identifies whether a user event corresponding to a content transmission command has occurred, on the basis of a signal detected via the sensor, and performs a content transmission operation between external apparatuses via the interface on the basis of the identified user event. The processor may identify whether the occurrence of the user event is expected, on the basis of acquired surrounding situation information, when the occurrence of the user event is identified as being expected, increase the recognition sensitivity of the sensor, and identify the user event on the basis of a signal detected via the sensor having the increased recognition sensitivity.
