Abstract: Sharing data in a data exchange across multiple cloud computing platforms and/or cloud computing platform regions is described. An example computer-implemented method can include creating a listing in a data exchange, the listing including a data set hosted by a first cloud computing entity. The data set can be shared with a second cloud computing entity. The method further includes receiving a request associated with a customer account of the second cloud computing entity to access the data set of the listing hosted by the first cloud computing entity and replicating at least a subset of the data set of the listing from the first cloud computing entity to a provider account at the second cloud computing entity to be accessible by the customer account at the second cloud computing entity.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing membership in a private data exchange are provided herein. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving a request for access to a first listing of a data exchange, each listing of the data exchange comprising version metadata. The method further includes, in response to the request, accessing a first version of a data set referenced by the first listing, wherein the first version of the data set comprises a first structure defined by first version metadata, a second listing of the data exchange references a second version of the data set, the second version of the data set comprising a second structure defined by second version metadata, and the second structure is incompatible with the first structure.

Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for replicating share objects to remote deployments. An example method includes generating, at a second deployment in a data exchange, a replica of a share object included in a first deployment of the data exchange. The share object grants privileges to a first account to access a first database of the first deployment, wherein the first database comprises a database object. The method also includes retrieving, at the first deployment, share grant metadata from the share object of the first deployment, wherein the share grant metadata includes a reference to the database object and allows the first account to use the database object. The method also includes transmitting a message comprising the share grant metadata to the replica in the second deployment. The share grant metadata in the replica allows a second account to use the database object replicated in the second deployment.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing membership in a private data exchange are provided herein. In one embodiment, the method comprises adding a new member to a data exchange, wherein the data exchange comprises a set of listings, each listing comprising data from one or more datasets stored on a cloud computing service. An account type is assigned to the new member, the account type comprising at least one of a consumer type, provider type, or exchange administrator type. Each of the account types associated with one or more rights with respect to the set of listings, such that the new member has a set of rights based on the account type. The set of rights of the new member are then modified with respect to one or more listings from the set of listings based on a set of visibility and access rules for each of the set of listings.

Abstract: Providing access to consumer information on a private data exchange is described. In an example, privileges are assigned to a share object, granting access to consumer information obtained from a query against data referenced by a data listing of a data exchange. The data exchange comprises one or more data listings provided by one or more data providers. In response to the share object being added to a list of consumed share objects of a data provider that provided the data listing, a database is generated that references the consumer information based on the share object. Access to the database is granted to the data provider that provided the data listing.

Abstract: A system for sub-table replication within a materialized view of a source data table. A materialized view of a source data table is generated based on a query, the source data table having a plurality of data table rows associated with a plurality of client identifiers and including an entitlements column and data content, the entitlements column including a plurality of provider account identifiers and a plurality of consumer account identifiers. An update to an entitlements table of the source data table is detected where the entitlements table includes a plurality of entitlements table rows and where the entitlements table rows are associated with the client identifiers, the consumer account identifiers, and the provider account identifiers. An update to the source data table based on the first update to the entitlements table is detected, and an incremental replication of the materialized view of the source data table is performed.
