摘要: Some embodiments of the invention provide novel methods for performing services on data messages passing through a network connecting one or more datacenters, such as software defined datacenters (SDDCs). The method of some embodiments uses service containers executing on host computers to perform different chains (e.g., ordered sequences) of services on different data message flows. For a data message of a particular data message flow that is received or generated at a host computer, the method in some embodiments uses a service classifier executing on the host computer to identify a service chain that specifies several services to perform on the data message. For each service in the identified service chain, the service classifier identifies a service container for performing the service. The service classifier then forwards the data message to a service forwarding element to forward the data message through the service containers identified for the identified service chain. The service classifier and service forwarding element are implemented in some embodiments as processes that are defined as hooks in the virtual interface endpoints (e.g., virtual Ethernet ports) of the host computer's operating system (e.g., Linux operating system) over which the service containers execute.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure include techniques for discovering services across networks based on a multicast domain name system (mDNS) protocol. An mDNS request for available services in a network is received from a client device. The client device belongs to a particular layer 2 (L2) domain. In response to receiving the mDNS request, a storage of the network device configured to store service records is queried to determine a set of available services. The set of available services is provided in a L2 domain different from the particular L2 domain. A response that includes the set of available services is generated. The response is sent to the client device.

摘要: There is provided a wireless end-user device configured to assign one of classifications to each of end-user applications to allow for a differential network access control of the end-user applications. The classifications include a background classification and a foreground classification. The differential network access control includes a service usage control policies applicable when a network service is available via a wireless modem, the service usage control policies including a first policy that allows data associated with a first end-user application of the end-user applications to be communicated via the wireless modem, and a second policy that defers the data associated with the first end-user application to be communicated via the wireless modem until a state change occurs. The wireless end-user device is configured to dynamically select from the service usage control policies based on whether the background classification or the foreground classification is assigned to the first end-user application.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for performing device-to-device (D2D) discovery are described. A service discovery process may include a discoverable device (e.g., a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU)) sending a discovery request, over a wireless connection, for a radio resource for the purpose of performing a transmission for radio frequency (RF) proximity detection for a given service. The WTRU may receive a discovery response including a configuration for RF proximity detection from a network, which configuration may be associated to the service. The configuration for RF proximity may be received by dedicated signaling, (e.g., physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH)), in particular for a discoverable WTRU. The configuration for RF proximity may be received on a broadcast channel, (e.g., a discovery shared channel (DISCH)), in particular for a monitoring WTRU, and may include one or more service identities, each associated with an RF proximity detection configuration, or a validity information and a measurement configuration.

摘要: Various examples are directed to a system for configuring a host device. The host device may comprise a memory system and may be programmed to receive subscriber software for interfacing the host device to a subscription service. The host device may also be programmed to receive from a first assembler secure appliance, first trace data based at least in part on the subscriber software and generate trace-derived data using the first trace data and the memory system identification key. The host device may also be programmed to send a subscription request to a subscription server associated with the subscription service. The subscription request may comprise the trace-derived data. The host device may also be programmed to receive, from the subscription server, subscription data for accessing the subscription service.
