Abstract: Provided herein are compositions and methods for detecting novel SARS-COV-2 variants. Disclosed herein are nucleic acid constructs that can be used as primers in various molecular assays to identify and distinguish new variants of the SARS-COV-2 virus. Also provided are methods of using said nucleic acid constructs to identify and distinguish new variants of the SARS-COV-2 virus.
