Abstract: A color correspondence information generating system includes an object database that stores correspondences between recognition information and color characteristic information about first objects recognized by the recognition information; an object recognition section that recognizes the first objects in the first image from the first image and the recognition information, and outputs image regions of the first objects in the first image and first color characteristic information; and a color correspondence information generation section that generates the color correspondence information using the color information and the first color characteristic information of pixels in the image regions. The color characteristic information and the recognition information have a one-to-one correspondence relation with each other, or the color characteristic information is the recognition information itself.

Abstract: A method for generating color conversion information including providing a user with color sample information for determining a color sample of which color characteristic information is known, receiving, from the user, an image including the color sample determined by the color sample information in a lighting environment, and generating color conversion information which corresponds to the lighting environment and is correlated with the user, based on the image and the color characteristic information of the color sample determined by the color sample information. The color conversion information converts between color information and color characteristic information, the color information is information which corresponds to a lighting environment and indicates colors of an object in the lighting environment, and the color characteristic information indicates color characteristics of the object.

Abstract: A color estimation system provided with a correlation memory unit storing a correlation model that accepts an image or information of image, and outputting an ink-color set that is a color combination of inks used in reproducing the image by printing; and a color combination extracting unit that extracts the ink-color set corresponding to a print image, which is an image to be printed, by providing an input of the print image or image information of the print image to the correlation model. The correlation model is generated by performing machine learning that generates a correlation between the image information and the ink-color set such that the ink-color set is outputted based on the image information, using a reference image of which the ink-color set necessary for a printing is known in advance.

Abstract: A color prediction system includes: database storing absorption/scattering coefficients of each primary color ink; sections for: selecting a spot color ink as a combination of primary color inks that reproduce a colorimetric value of a color sample, reading absorption and scattering coefficients of the primary color inks of a reference spot color from the database, obtaining absorption and scattering coefficients of the spot color ink of a specified formulation ratio, and calculating a spectral reflectance of the spot color ink to be reproduced; obtaining a reproduced color from the spectral reflectance; obtaining a difference from the colorimetric value of the color sample and correcting the formulation ratio to calculate a formulation ratio with an allowable difference; and calculating a Neugebauer primary color of overprinted spot color inks from the absorption and scattering coefficients of the spot color inks calculated at formulation ratios determined by the formulation ratio determination section.
