摘要: An optical printer head with a plurality of light-emitting devices arranged in two dimensions is capable of providing a desired amount of exposure using light-emitting devices having even small luminance, ease of corrections to a sensitivity of a photosensitive body and to a positional displacement of an object to be printed, performing printing on multiple gray scales and implementing high density and miniaturization. The optical printer head is so configured that a picture element array including picture elements containing light-emitting devices arranged in line and string directions in two dimensions, a horizontal scanning circuit to feed data signals to each picture element string in the picture element array and a vertical scanning circuit to sequentially select and activate each picture element in the picture element array are formed on a same insulating substrate to support production of the above effects. The luminance of the picture elements is also made variable by use of a plurality of light-emitting devices and/or variable drive for each picture element to enhance the continuity of gray scale achieved.

摘要: A device excellent in electrical characteristics is provided by suppressing an operation failure owing to a hysteresis effect that occurs in a circuit using MOS transistors having floating bodies. Moreover, sensitivity of a sense amplifier circuit and a latch circuit including these MOS transistors as components is improved. A signal required in a circuit other than a first circuit is outputted by using electrical characteristics of MOS transistors in a first period (effective period), and in a second period (idle period) excluding the first period, between the gate and source of MOS transistors, a step waveform voltage not less than threshold voltages of these MOS transistors is given.

摘要: When the excitation frequency of a touch panel and the frequency of external noise match or are close, noise cannot be removed by a bandpass filter. In addition, when a touch detection operating period is limited to a short period such as the no addressing period, the signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) decreases because frequency separation decreases and the noise removal effect by averaging is degraded. An electronic device of the present invention includes a sensor system (101), an excitation generator (102) that generates an intermittent sinusoidal signal and applies this signal to the sensor system, and a demodulator (105) that demodulates the amplitude modulated signal that is the output of the sensor system. The demodulator uses both the response x1(t) of the sensor system in the period in which the excitation generator outputs the sinusoidal signal, and the response z1(t) of the sensor system in the period in which the excitation generator does not output the sinusoidal signal at least either immediately before or immediately after the signal output to generate the demodulated signal D(t).

摘要: Provided is a display apparatus capable of reducing the scale of a drive circuit and decreasing the frame. A display area in which pixels are provided in matrix, a scanning line drive circuit for driving scanning lines, and a signal line drive circuit for driving signal lines are provided on a support substrate. The pixel within the display area is constituted with a plurality of dots. Each dot corresponds to a color filter of a certain color. The dot is in a laterally long shape, i.e. in a shape extending in a direction along the scanning lines. In other words, each dot is in a shape extending in parallel with the longitudinal direction of the signal line drive circuit. The color filters are of lateral stripe type, for example.

摘要: A bidirectional scanning circuit for a peripheral driving circuit for a liquid crystal display, a contact-type image sensor, a liquid crystal shutter, a vacuum fluorescent display or the like is improved in operation speed and yield in production. In the scanning circuit, a data signal is successively delayed and transferred to produce scanning pulse signals to be outputted. The scanning circuit comprises a plurality of switching transistors connected in cascade connection such that each switching transistor receives a data signal outputted from a preceding switching transistor and passes the data signal so as to be applied to a following switching transistor in response to a pair of clock signals, a plurality of feedback circuits each for receiving a signal outputted from a corresponding switching transistor in response to a further pair of clock signals and compensating for a drop of the signal level of the thus received signal, and a plurality of buffer circuits for individually receiving signals successively outputted from the feedback circuits and individually outputting the received signals as scanning pulse signals.

摘要: A scanning circuit according to the invention has a form of integrated thin film transistors on a substrate, comprising a multiplicity of serially interconnected stages of pass transistors or clocked inverters for successive transmission of a signal with a predetermined delay. Each stage includes only one pass transistor or clocked inverter which is operated by a pair of mutually inverted clock puls. Each stage also comprises an output buffer circuit for providing a scanning signal having a frequency twice as large as said clock pulses by receiving the output of the corresponding pass transistor or clocked inverter via an NOR gate which is operated by one of tile paired clock pulses. The scanning circuit is thus capable of doubly fast scanning of a display, e.g. a high resolution display. The scanning circuit is simple in structure, so that it occupies only a small area on a substrate and gives high yield and reliability.
