Abstract: A method and control arrangement are disclosed for controlling power output of a wind power plant (WPP) including a plurality of wind turbine generators (WTGs). The method includes determining that overboosting is required for the WPP to meet a power demand at the WPP, and determining, for at least a first WTG of the plurality of WTGs, a corresponding amount of overboost capacity. The method further includes generating, based on the determined amount of overboost capacity, control signals causing the first WTG to increase its power output through overboosting to thereby fulfill at least a portion of the power demand.

Abstract: Aspects of the present invention relate to a method for controlling one or more wind turbine generators. The method comprises: receiving a trigger signal, and implementing an active power boost mode during a predetermined time period in response to receiving the trigger signal. The active power boost mode comprises: disregarding further trigger signals; and generating one or more upper active power limits for each of the one or more wind turbine generators, wherein, during at least a first portion of the predetermined time period, the one or more upper active power limits are fixed at an active power boost level that is greater than a nominal active power level of the one or more wind turbine generators.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for releasing a requested amount of power from a power facility to an associated power grid, the method comprising the steps of providing a release signal as to when the requested amount of power is to be released from the power facility to the associated power grid, ramping up the power generation of the power facility, and releasing the requested amount of power to the associated power grid in accordance with the release signal, wherein at least part of an excess power generated during ramping up is dissipated and/or stored in suitable power handling modules. Abstract: Methods and apparatus for reducing peak power consumption of a grid connected power plant having a plurality of wind turbines. In response to determining that a power production value of the power plant is below a power threshold, one method includes: after a first time delay of a first group of one or more wind turbines, control the first group to operate in a power saving mode for a predefined first power saving period; and after a first time delay of a second group of one or more other wind turbines, control the second group to operate in the power saving mode for a predefined second power saving period. The first time delay of the first group is less than the first time delay of the second group and the power saving mode inhibits a power consuming activity for the wind turbines operating in the power saving mode.
