Abstract: A mobile communication device configured for Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications is provided. In the mobile communication device, a wireless module performs wireless transmissions and receptions to and from a service network, and a controller module receives a message with a Slot Cycle Index (SCI) only for the M2M communications from the service network via the wireless module and instructs the wireless module to monitor a paging channel according to the SCI only for the M2M communications.
