A LOAD IS APPLIED TO SAID STRINGS SO AS TO VARY THE TENSION WITH A CONSEQUENT VARIATION IN THEIR VIBRATION FREQUENCY, WHICH INFORMATION IN TURN IS TRANSMITTED TO A DIGITAL DEVICE WHICH TRANSLATES IT INTO A LOAD-INDICATING QUANTITY.
