摘要： A stamping tool is provided including a base and a cover. The cover is removably affixed to the base through a hinging assembly. The base can include a first base hinge and a second base hinge substantially perpendicular to the first base hinge. The base hinges can be one or more hinge sections. The hinge sections can include a first wall and a second wall that can be biased to define a cavity that is accessible through a channel between the first wall and the second wall. Hinge sections can be separated by one or more receptacles. The cover can include one or more hinge bars corresponding to the hinge sections on the base. The hinge bars can have an unequal aspect ratio allowing for easy insertion and removal of the cover. The cover can also include one or more protrusions separating the hinge bars. These protrusions correspond to the receptacles on the base. A method of stamping an article is also included wherein the stamping tool is provided. The cover is placed in an open position relative to the base. A stamp is adhered to the bottom surface of the cover. The article to be stamped is placed on the top surface of the base. A quantity of ink is applied to the stamp and, as the cover is placed in a closed position, the stamp is brought into contact with the article thereby stamping the article with the ink.

摘要： A craftwork accessory may provide a portable and/or easy-to-use tool to help users' accurately and repeatedly apply stamp impressions and the like to items such as cardstock. The accessory may include a base portion, one or more elevated side portions and a hinged cover portion. The side portions may define a workspace for arranging the item. In operation, the item and stamp may be aligned in the workspace, during which a magnetic removable corner piece may be used to assist with alignment of the item, and the cover portion may be pressed onto the stamp to stick the stamp to the cover portion. The cover may then be opened, the stamp may be inked, and the cover portion may be closed and pressed onto the item to stamp the item. The accessory may also include fastening mechanisms, such as magnetic elements, to facilitate placement of the item and/or stamp.

摘要： A portable frame is supported for vertical movement on a pair of posts adjacent the surface of a table for receiving an object to be marked. A traveling plate is supported for movement on the frame in the horizontal plane above the surface of the object on the table. A ball screw drive connects the traveling plate to the frame for imparting longitudinal movement of the traveling plate in the horizontal plane. A marking head assembly is pivotally mounted on the plate and carries a plurality of impact pins which are reciprocated into and out of contact with the object by operation of programmable solenoid valves. An indexing wheel adjusts the angular position of the marking head assembly to control the size of characters formed by the pins impacting the object. The pins are activated as the traveling table is moved in the horizontal plane to inscribe a desired mark of a preselected character size on the plate. The object is also movable relative to the marking head assembly to facilitate multiple line marking in both forward and reverse directions of travel of the plate. The pins are each removably mounted in a bushing having different diameter portions arranged in such a manner as to engage the head of the pin and maintain the striking end a preselected distance from the bushing.

摘要： An apparatus for thermographically printing a succession of labels or the like is disclosed. A continuous strip of labels is stepwisely fed by a label feed assembly to a printing pad at a printing station, while a conventional thermographic strip is simultaneously stepwisely fed thereto so that the strip overlies a label at the station. A heated print head having various type elements engages the thermographic strip for urging it against the label at the station to effect printing. The print head is part of a printing assembly and is operated through parallel linkage arms which maintain it substantially parallel to the pad and thereby provide even pressure over the printing surface during the printing apparatus. The printing assembly, the label feed assembly and the thermographic strip feed assembly are all mechanically driven through a drive assembly to provide positive coordination in their operation.

摘要： A photographic copying machine wherein longitudinally spaced portions of a continuously or intermittently advancing web of photographic print material are provided with symbols which are applied thereto by a type mounted at the free end of a leaf spring. The other end of the leaf spring is secured to a stationary bracket and an intermediate portion of the leaf spring extends into the path of movement of the armature of an electromagnet when the leaf spring is undeformed and assumes a starting position. The armature strikes against the leaf spring in response to energization of the solenoid of the electromagnet whereby the leaf spring is deformed and accelerated so as to move away from the armature when the latter is arrested by the bracket in an extended position and to ultimately cause the type to strike against a ribbon which overlies the web. The armature is biased to a retracted position with a force which suffices to insure that it does not interfere with automatic return movement of the leaf spring to the starting position, provided that the solenoid is deenergized not later than when the leaf spring reaches an intermediate position corresponding to the extended position of the armature.
