    摘要: A gear drive, such as for an actuator, is a right-angle drive where toothed outer ridge of a face gear is coupled to teeth of a motor output shaft, and a set of planetary gears are engaged with a central sun gear of the face gear. The sun gear and planetary gears are aligned with the motor output shaft. For instance the motor output shaft may be substantially in the same plane with the sun gear and the planetary gears. From another standpoint the axis of the motor output shaft may intersect the sun gear, as well as intersecting a volume that the planetary gears sweep through as the planetary gears engage the sun gear.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a line gear mechanism with variable-angle transmission, which consists of a line gear pair having intersecting shafts which includes a driving line gear and a driven line gear. The driving line gear and the driven line gear are each composed of a wheel body and a line tooth. Contact curves of the driving line gear and the driven line gear mesh according to a pair of space conjugate curves. One or more line teeth are provided on the driving line gear. The line tooth on the driven line gear is a line tooth that has a property of variable-angle transmission. During transmission, the mechanism may adjust a transmission angle of the line gear pair having the intersecting shafts, thus causing meshing points to form on different contact curves while a transmission ratio remains unchanged and the transmission is stable.

    摘要: This mechanism for driving motions of a surface of spherical, ellipsoidal, plane, or other shape comprises a pair of drive wheels mounted on a freely pivoting frame, each wheel being driven by its own bidirectional motor. The motors and the active electronics of an angle encoder are mounted in an associated fixed frame, so no slip rings or other rotating connections are needed for motor power and control, or for determining the rotation angle of the pivoting frame. Control of the motors provides differential rotation of the two wheels to effect controlled rotation of the pivoting frame, and therefore of wheel direction. This avoids the use of a separate motor for changing the direction of motion of the surface. All parts of the mechanism driving wheel rotation are enclosed by the pivoting frame or the fixed frame.
