    摘要: File exploration is facilitated by enabling zoom with respect to a thumbnail based on an identified point of interest. More particularly, a scaled thumbnail of the same size as a thumbnail can be generated and presented based on an identified point of interest. In one instance, a scaled thumbnail can be generated automatically by repositioning an image based on a point of interest and applying a scaling factor to the image behind a fixed clipping mask of the same size as the thumbnail. Furthermore, navigation, among other things, is enabled to allow panning with respect to a scaled thumbnail.

    摘要: The invention provides a method for determining whether a human immunodeficiency virus is likely to be more resistant to a viral entry inhibitor than a reference HIV. In certain aspects, the methods comprise comparing the length of one or more variable regions of an envelope protein of the HIV or a number of glycosylation sites on the envelope protein of the HIV to a length of one or more corresponding variable regions of an envelope protein of the reference HIV or a number of glycosylation sites on the envelope protein of the reference HIV, wherein the HIV is likely to be more resistant to the CD4 binding site entry inhibitor than the reference HIV when the HIV has longer variable regions than the reference HIV or the HIV has more glycosylation sites than the reference HIV.

    摘要: A mechanism is provided for estimating energy/power consumption of a fixed-frequency operating mode while system is running in dynamic power management mode. For each time interval in a plurality of time intervals within a time period: a first processor identifies a modeled total nominal power value for at least one second processor during a current time interval, stores the modeled total nominal power value for the current time interval in a storage, identifies a dynamic power management mode power value for the at least one second processor in the data processing system during the current interval, and stores the dynamic power management mode power value for the current time interval in the storage. Responsive to the time period expiring, a comparison is produced of a plurality of modeled total nominal power values and a plurality of dynamic power management mode power values over the time period.

    摘要: Systems and techniques, including special messages and state machines, are described that configures an intermediate site to dynamically trigger creation of and removal of a dynamic conduit between two sites based on usage that is tracked at the sites. The intermediate site providing WAN-to-WAN forwarding between the two sites, monitors throughput statistics on each local WAN link (LWL) associated with the two sites. If traffic between the two sites passes a configured first threshold or if LWL usage passes a configured second threshold, the intermediate site sends a message to the two sites to set up a dynamic conduit directly coupling the two sites. Busy lists are used to keep track of eligible site pairs. Once a dynamic conduit is set up between two sites, a grow technique tests the dynamic conduit increasing communication flows between the two sites each configured sampling period before putting the conduit in normal use.
