Abstract:
An automatic switching device for the power source input range of a personal computer monitor is installed within the switchmode power source circuit of the monitor and includes a comparator and a relay arranged so that, irrespective of whether the power source is at a 110V or 220V voltage level, the rectifying circuit of the switchmode power source circuit is automatically switched to a voltage doubler circuit or a bridge rectifier circuit as appropriate for reducing power losses and saving energy.
Abstract:
A polarized plate includes a polarized layer, a first optical film located on a upper side of the polarized layer and a second optical film located on a lower side of the polarized layer. At least one of the first and second optical films is made from Polymethyl Methacrylate (PMMA). The optical films are formed by dispensing a mixed solution on a substrate, then bonding to the polarized layer and processed through a heat treatment. The optical films may also be formed by dispensing the mixed solution on the surface of the polarized layer and processed through a heat treatment.
Abstract:
A records management system classifies records according to a file plan. Record are declared, and then classified. Some records have in initially indeterminate classification and classification is deferred, either by request or due to a lack of sufficient information to classify the record according to the file plan. Unclassified records are placed into a temporary container. At some time while in the temporary container a classification event occurs with a given record which allows the records management system to classify the record and place it into a container corresponding to its classification.
Abstract:
A computer monitor power supply system includes a comparator, a relay, and an inductor connected in series between the AC input and a flyback transformer circuit. The inductor includes two windings which are automatically switched between a parallel connection and a series connection upon switching between a 110 V and 220 V power input so as to reduce the amount of low frequency harmonics.

Abstract:
The present invention discloses a PCI-Express multimode expansion card comprising a PCI-Express interface port for insertion into a PCI-Express slot of a motherboard, a PCI-Express expansion port, a USB expansion port, and a jumper circuit connecting the PCI-Express interface port and the two expansion ports. The PCI-Express expansion port provides expandability by allowing the attachment of a PCI-Express interfaced peripheral device, and the USB expansion port provides expandability by allowing the attachment of a USB-interfaced peripheral device. As such, a single PCI-Express multimode expansion card inserted into a PCI-Express slot configured on the motherboard can be used to attach two peripheral devices with different interface, thereby achieving the function of multimode expansion.
Abstract:
An extended range received signal strength indicator module includes input lines connected to a variable gain amplifier, which passes the amplified RF signal to a polyphase, which in turn passes the filtered signal to a series of RSSI stages. Each RSSI stage includes a log amplifier and outputs an amplified current to a current summer as well as to the next RSSI stage in the series. The current summer outputs the sum of the received currents to RSSI_OUT. An additional frequency filter and RSSI stage with inputs connected to the input lines before the variable gain amplifier that outputs the modified current to the current summer is also included. A control circuit switches the additional RSSI stage on or off as determined by a detection circuit that monitors the value of RSSI_OUT.
Abstract:
A method for fabricating optical compensation films includes providing PAR polyarylate; dissolving the PAR polyarylate in an solvent to obtain a polyarylate solution; applying the polyarylate solution on a substrate; and substantially removing the solvent from the polyarylate solution under a predetermined temperature to form an optical compensation film having a thickness of 1 μm to 20 μm. The optical compensation film is optically anisotropic and suitable for use in photoelectric flat displays.
Abstract:
A help service function control device is added to a multi-sync(or multi-modc)monitor of a personal computer. The control device uses a micro controller and an on-screen display to control a video display to show the contents of "Help Service". The help service contains Install. Adjustment and Specification instructions for instructing the user to install and adjust the monitor and to understand the specifications of the monitor. The micro controller picks up a serial signal from the on-screen display, permitting the fetched signal to be amplified by a video pre-amplifier and then displayed through the video display so as to help the user eliminate troubles.
