摘要： A first printing is performed after text is inputted and after a number of print colors, a print color order, and their print ranges are set. A message urging the user to remove the ribbon cassette in order to perform a second printing is displayed. When the user opens the cassette cover, removes the ribbon cassette, and inputs using an optional or predetermined key, then a message warning the user not to mount a ribbon cassette is displayed and rewind of the tape is started. When the front edge of the tape is detected by a tape detection sensor, then rewind of the tape is stopped.

摘要： An image recording device having a detachable web roll cassette in which a rolled web sheet is accommodated. The device includes a frame body having a web roll cassette insertion port, a web roll cassette accommodating portion, and a web sheet passage extending from the web roll cassette accommodating portion in a sheet feeding direction. The device also includes a web roll cassette, a rotary cutter positioned downstream of the web roll cassette, a sheet feeding unit including a drive roller and a pinch roller for nipping the web sheet therebetween, and a print head for printing the image on the web sheet fed by the sheet feed unit. The web roll cassette includes an upper and lower cases accommodating therein a web roll at one side and defining a front end discharge portion at another side directing toward the web sheet passage. The upper and lower cases are formed with through holes at a position adjacent the front end discharge portion. The drive roller and the pinch roller are respectively positioned at the through holes.

摘要： A tape printer cassette, bearing a film tape and ink ribbon on spools therein, maintains the film tape in a feed path defined by an outer wall and a partition and the ink ribbon in a feed path defined by the partition and an inner wall. The inner wall and the partition are set to be substantially the same height as the ink ribbon and higher than the outer wall. When the ink ribbon is wider than the film tape, an unused portion of the ink ribbon remains after printing; regulating members spaced by the width of the film tape, downstream of the printing region, keep the film tape in the center of the ribbon so that the unused portion remains and so that the ink ribbon cannot proceed along the film tape feed path past the regulating members. When an adhesive backing is also provided on a spool in the cassette, regulating members align the film tape and adhesive backing at a feed capstan so that they are not displaced relative to each other when adhered.

摘要： A web roll cassette detachably mounted in a printer. The cassette includes a lower case and an upper case having one end pivotally connected to one end of the lower case for selectively providing opening and closing states relative to the lower case. Near the pivot portion, an accommodation space is defined by the upper and lower cases for accommodating therein a web roll. Another end of the upper and lower cases serves as front end discharge portion through which a printed web sheet is discharged out of the cassette. Near the front end discharge portion, the upper and lower cases are formed with through holes where a pinch roller and a drive roller are positioned to nip the web sheet. An opening is formed upstream of the through hole, and a platen is supported on the lower case and exposed at the opening. The drive roller is movable toward and away from the front end discharge portion. After the web roll cassette is inserted into the printer, the web roll cassette is pivotally movable about a position near the one end so that the front end discharge portion is moveable toward and away from the pinch roller.
