摘要:
A POM/POM thermoadhesive conjugate fiber is produced by providing two kinds of POM-based polymers A and B which satisfy 30 TA+10 wherein TA and TB are before-spinning fusion peak temperatures of the POM-based polymers A and B respectively, compositely spinning a first component containing the POM-based polymer A and a second component containing the POM-based polymer B such that the first component is exposed with an exposed length of not less than 20% relative to a peripheral length of the fiber, subjecting the spun fiber to a drawing treatment, and subjecting the drawn fiber to an annealing treatment at a temperature of from 60° C. to 110° C.

A latently crimpable conjugate fiber is constructed using a first component containing an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer polymerized with a metallocene catalyst and a second component formed from a thermal plastic polymer having a melting point T2 higher than a melting point T1 of the first component, such that the first component is exposed with an exposed length of at least 20% relative to a peripheral length of the fiber, and which fiber has a single fiber dry heat shrinkage percentage of at least 50%, which is determined according to JIS-L-1015 (dry heat shrinkage percentage) at 100° C. under an initial tension of 0.018mn/dtex (2mg/d) for 15 minutes and a single fiber dry heat shrinkage percentage of at least 15%, which is determined under the same condition under an initial tension of 0.450mN/dtex (50mg/dtex) for 15 minutes. The latently crimpable conjugate fiber develops crimps and has thermal adhesiveness at a low temperature.

A non-woven fabric having such a structure that fine fibers having a small fineness are entangled with one another and a sheet obtained by impregnating the non-woven fabric with an elastic polymer satisfy the following requirements: the fine fibers should be obtained by splitting a strippable and splittable composite short fiber comprising at least two components; the fine fibers should have a monofilament size of 0.01 to 0.5 denier; the fine fibers should form a fine non-woven fabric structure that they are entangled with one another at random; the apparent density should be 0.18 to 0.45 g/cm3; the average area of spaces between fibers in the cross section of the non-woven fabric measured by the image analysis of an electron scanning microscope should be 70 to 250 &mgr;m2; and the non-woven fabric should have such a uniform structure that the standard deviation of the area of a space between fibers in the cross section of the non-woven fabric measured by the image analysis of the electron scanning microscope is 200 to 600 &mgr;m2. The non-woven fabric and sheet are advantageously used as a substrate for artificial leather.
摘要:
A heat extensible fiber comprises a conjugate fiber including a first resin component having an orientation index of 30% to 70% and a second resin component having a lower melting point or softening point than the melting point of the first resin component and an orientation index of 40% or more, the second resin component being present on at least part of the surface of the conjugate fiber in a lengthwise continuous configuration. The conjugate fiber is a heat-treated or crimped fiber and being configured to thermally extend when heated at a temperature lower than the melting point of the first resin component. The heat extensible fiber has higher heat self-extensibility than conventional extensible fibers.
