The drum-and-cabinet type dryer includes a drum dryer which includes a drying drum adapted to receive the laundry, a hot air supplier adapted to generate hot air, and a hot air supply duct adapted to guide the hot air into the drying drum, a cabinet dryer which includes a body defined with a laundry receiving compartment, and a hot air introduction duct adapted to receive the hot air from the drum dryer, and to guide the received hot air into the laundry receiving compartment of the body, and a length-adjustable shelf which has an adjustable length, and is mounted to the body such that the shelf is arranged in the laundry receiving compartment.
