摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a UE capability message, the UE capability message indicating a supported transmit antenna switching (TxAS) capability for each port of the UE. The UE may receive a configuration message indicating an uplink multiple-input/multiple-output (UL MIMO) configuration for the UE, the UL MIMO configuration being based at least in part on the UE capability message. The UE may identify, based at least in part on the configuration message, a sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration to use for transmitting SRSs in conjunction with the UL MIMO communications, the SRS configuration comprising a configuration for transmission by the UE of SRSs using at least one of the two or more ports of the UE, the SRSs transmitted on one or more antennas of the UE selected according to a TxAS configuration for the respective port.

摘要: Techniques for supporting communication for wireless devices in a wireless network are described. The wireless network may support a first physical channel having a first minimum SNR for reliable reception. Some wireless devices may require operation at a lower SNR. In an aspect, low SNR operation may be supported by transmitting data on a second physical channel that can be reliably received at a second minimum SNR that is lower than the first minimum SNR. In another aspect, low SNR operation may be supported by transmitting data on both the first and second physical channels. In yet another aspect, low SNR operation may be supported by transmitting data in multiple instances of the first and/or second physical channel. In yet another aspect, low power operation may be supported by transmitting the second physical channel in a portion of the system bandwidth instead of across the entire system bandwidth.

摘要: Systems, methods and apparatuses are provided that facilitate selecting resources, such as time slots, subframes, etc., for performing bandwidth switching related to activating and/or deactivating one or more carriers. A data portion of one or more subframes can be selected for performing bandwidth switching. In addition, a device can determine whether one or more downlink grants are received in the one or more subframes, and can avoid selecting such subframes. The device can alternatively perform the bandwidth switching and request retransmission of the data portion. Additionally or alternatively, the device can determine a type of the one or more subframes and/or signals transmitted in the one or more subframes to determine whether to perform bandwidth switching in the subframes. The bandwidth switching can include changing a sampling rate, reconfiguring frequency filters, modifying a local oscillator, etc.

摘要: Methods, systems, devices, and computer program products are disclosed which facilitate the transmission and reception of power headroom reports for component carriers in a multi carrier wireless communication system. A mobile device may determine available power headroom in a multicarrier configuration through a calculation of a maximum transmit power associated with a first component carrier (CC) in a subset of the CCs. The calculation can account for increases in transmit power of other component carriers in the subset by proportionally increasing transmit powers for each of the subset of CCs. A power headroom may be identified for one or more of the CCs based on a result of the calculation, and a power headroom report (PHR) may be generated that includes the power headroom available for the first CC.

摘要: Uplink transmission power adjustment is provided by a mobile device receiving an uplink transmission grant from a serving base station. The mobile device determines a maximum power reduction for uplink transmissions and a SAR-related power reduction. The mobile device compares these values and adjusts transmission power according to the SAR-related power reduction in response to the SAR-related power reduction exceeding the maximum power reduction. A power headroom report is generated when the determined SAR-related power reduction exceeds a previous SAR-related power reduction. This power headroom report is transmitted from the mobile device to the serving base station under various conditions.
