摘要: Indicia readers with multiple imaging assemblies and dichroic mirrors are disclosed herein. In an example, an indicia reader like a barcode reader includes a first (2D) imaging assembly operable to sense light in the 700 nm or below wavelength range, a second (3D) imaging assembly operable to sense light in the above 700 nm wavelength range, and a dichroic mirror. The mirror is situated such that (i) light that is received by the first imaging assembly is received from a product scanning region and is reflected by the mirror such that its path is redirected towards and the first imaging assembly and (ii) light that is received by the second imaging assembly is received from the product scanning region by passing through the mirror toward the second imaging assembly.

摘要: Systems and methods for decoding multiple indicia are provided. An example includes an indicia reading device comprising an imaging assembly configured to capture 2D image data of an environment appearing in a first FOV, the first FOV directed at a product scanning region; a depth sensor assembly including at least one depth sensor, wherein the at least one depth senor is configured to capture 3D image data of an environment appearing in a second FOV, the second FOV at least partially overlapping the first FOV; a controller, having at least a processor and a memory, communicably coupled to the imaging assembly and depth sensor assembly. The memory stores computer-readable instructions which when executed by the processor causes the controller to take the following actions: analyze the 2D image data to identify a quantity of indicia present in the 2D image data; analyze the 3D image data to identify a quantity of items present in the 3D image data; and, responsive to the quantity of the indicia present in the 2D image data being equal to or greater than the quantity of items present in the 3D image data, transmit payload data of at least some of the indicia present in the 2D image data to a host.

摘要: Interchangeable connector panel systems for fixed mount industrial scanners are disclosed herein. An example interchangeable connector panel system for fixed mount industrial scanners includes a housing including a mounting mechanism and a coupling mechanism, an image capture assembly at least partially disposed within the housing, and a first field-interchangeable removable connector module. The image capture assembly includes an optical assembly, a decoder engine, at least one image capture assembly interface, and at least one of a central processing unit or a graphics processing unit. The first field-interchangeable removable connector module couples with the coupling mechanism of the housing and is removable by a user in-field. The first removable connector module includes at least one connector module interface and an input/output (I/O) interface having a first configuration. The at least one image capture assembly interface communicatively couples with the at least one connector module interface to allow transmission between the I/O interface and the image capture assembly.

摘要: A method and system for decoding data appearing within a field of view (FOV) of an indicia reader includes providing first illumination to a first region of the FOV, the FOV further having a second region of the FOV that does not receive the first illumination. An imaging assembly captures image data of an environment within the FOV. Responsive to determining a presence of an indicia within the first region of the FOV, the method further includes at least one of (i) transmitting the image data to a decoder module, (ii) decoding the indicia by the decoder module, or (iii) generating a successful decode operation. Responsive to determining a presence of indicia within the second region of the FOV, the method includes performing at least one of (i) not transmitting the image data to the decoder module, (ii) not decoding the indicia by the decoder module, or (iii) not generating a successful decode operation.

摘要: An example bioptic barcode reader includes an imaging assembly, first illumination assembly, and second illumination assembly. No more than 10% of a light source of the second illumination assembly is visible within a boundary of a first imaging FOV of the imaging assembly. No more than 10% of a first mirror is visible within a boundary of a second imaging FOV of the imaging assembly. An upper edge of an aperture in an upper housing portion is outside a boundary of a first illumination FOV of the first illumination assembly. All or substantially all light rays from the second illumination assembly that pass through a horizontal window in a lower housing portion form respective angles relative to horizontal that are equal to or less than a second angle formed between a normal line of the first mirror and horizontal.
