    摘要: A code reader comprises a first imager and a second imager configured to capture an image with different field of views, a first illuminator and a second illuminator configured to project a different illumination pattern, and a processor operably coupled to the imagers and the illuminators. The processor configured to activate the first imager and the first illuminator as a receiver pair responsive to detecting a first condition, activate the second imager and the second illuminator as a receiver pair responsive to detecting a second condition, and decode an optical code using an image captured by the selected receiver pair.

    摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure include near co-axial polarized illuminator apparatuses and uses thereof. The near co-axial polarized illuminator is internally positionable in near co-axial alignment with one or more imager(s) utilized to capture a representation of a field of view illuminated by the near co-axial polarized illuminator. Embodiments include small form factor reader(s) that utilize a near co-axial polarized illuminator to improve illumination of a field of view captured via multiple imagers for detecting and/or decoding machine-readable symbologies, such as barcodes. Some embodiments include a DPM channel image sensor, a standard range channel image sensor, a near co-axial polarizer light source positioned adjacent to the DPM channel image sensor and adjacent to the standard range channel image sensor, a near co-axial polarizer aligned with the near co-axial polarizer light source, and an analyzer aligned with the DPM channel image sensor and/or the standard range channel image sensor.

    摘要: An imaging assembly for capturing at least one object appearing in a field of view (FOV) is provided that includes an image capturing system, a controller operatively coupled to the image capturing system to control operation thereof, and a processor operatively coupled to the controller. The image capturing system is adapted to capture an image having at least one sub-frame and is further adapted to obtain distance information of the object. The processor analyzes the image to determine a brightness value of at least a portion of the image and analyzes the distance information of the object to determine a distance value from the imaging assembly to the object. The processor further determines an illumination characteristic based on the brightness value and the distance value.
