    摘要: A solar float device for use in a livestock watering facility to inhibit the freezing of water in a livestock watering facility. The solar float device having upper and lower shells that are connected to each other. The upper shell encloses an air space and the lower shell encloses a ballast space. A bulkhead is connected to the lower shell and separates the air and ballast spaces. A ballast material contained within the ballast space maintains the float device upright in the water and is thermally conductive for receiving and storing heat generated by the solar float device from solar radiation. An energy absorbing element contacts the lower shell and at least a portion is arranged either at or above the level of the water such that the energy absorbing element is exposed to the solar radiation for absorbing the solar radiation and converting the solar radiation into heat.

A water supply tube extends from an exterior of the bowl to an interior thereof. The water supply tube includes a connector thereon that is configured to removably receive a water supply line. The water supply tube includes a float valve, having a float that is disposed within the bowl. When the water level in the bowl drops below a certain level the change in position of the float causes the float valve to open so that water from the water supply line flows through the water supply tube and into the bowl.

The controller is configured to control the operation of the pump. The liquid level detector is configured to detect when the level of liquid in the reservoir is below a first threshold level. The controller is responsive to the liquid level detector to operate the pump to pump liquid from the drinking receptacle into the reservoir when the liquid level detector indicates that the level of liquid in the reservoir is below the threshold level, and the controller is configured to deactivate the pump at the end of a pumping period.

    摘要: An automatic animal watering apparatus includes a dish having an automatic watering valve disposed therein. When the valve is first closed, a water level in the dish is at a maximum level, and a hydraulic source pressure acts only across a smaller cross-sectional area of a valve seat which is closed by the valve, thus requiring only a first lower buoyancy force acting on a valve actuator float to maintain the valve closed. The water level can then drop from the maximum water level to a minimum water level before the hydraulic force action on the valve overcomes the first lower buoyancy force on the actuator float and reopens the valve. Then when the valve opens, the hydraulic source pressure acts against a larger cross-sectional area of the valve, thus requiring the buoyancy forces acting on the float to rise to a second higher buoyancy force to reclose the valve. The automatic watering device may be mounted on an external structure through the use of a mounting bracket, and removable mounting pins may connect the dish, the mounting bracket and a cover plate of the dish.

A rod extending from one end of the float is movably received in a tube which penetrates an upper surface of the guiding element. A limiting element in which a water-stopping ball is movably received is mounted around the tube such that the water-stopping ball can be supported by the rod. A lower section of the guiding element is peripherally provided with grooves for guiding water out. A lower cover is mounted around an annular section concavely provided at a lower end of the guiding element. The water-stopping unit thus formed is connected to the bottom of a bucket and placed on a bottom plate so as to stop water from flowing from the bucket to the bottom plate when a predetermined water level is achieved in the bottom plate.

Various optional accessories are disclosed, including a fan for drying water spilled from the bowl. The fan may be used for another purpose in the appliance, as in a condensing unit, or may be provided separately. A sensor may be included to disable the fan in the presence of a pet. The appliance preferably includes a cavity into which the bowl is situated, along with an optional light for illuminating the cavity. The invention may be factory installed or provided as an option or after-market add-on. As such, the appliance may include a knock-out panel exposing a cavity into which the bowl is situated.

    摘要: A livestock watering tank being used for receiving water for feeding livestock, the tank includes first and second sidewalls, a top, an upper rim wall and a bottom, the tank being formed of molded plastic to prevent corrosion. The tank includes a float valve for controlling the supply of water from the tank to the drinking tray. The tank is shaped so as to be nestable with another tank and includes a first pair of nesting members formed on the first sidewall of the tank, and a second pair of nesting members formed on the second sidewall of the tank, and the first and second pairs of nesting members each having nesting surfaces on their lower edges for engaging and resting on the upper rim wall of another tank in order to allow the tank to nest within another tank and to space the tops of the tanks apart a predetermined amount. The upper rim wall of the tank has a first U-shaped channel extending between the first pair of nesting members, and a second U-shaped channel extending between the second pair of nesting members. The first and second U-shaped channels having therein first and second longitudinal support members extending between the first and second pairs of nesting members, respectively, and each being adjacent to the first and second sidewalls of the tank, respectively, in order to provide increased structural integrity and nestability of the tank when nesting two or more of the tanks with each other.
