摘要: The invention relates to a device for feeding a liquid to an animal. The device includes a nipple member (6), a reservoir (14) for the liquid (13), a passage (15) having an extension between the reservoir (14) and the nipple member (6), a feeding member (16, 19) arranged to allow a supply of liquid through the passage (15) to the nipple member (6), and a control member (7, 11, 18) arranged to control the activation of the feeding member (16, 19). The control member is arranged to detect the presence of a part of the animal in a predetermined position and to initiate activation of the feeding member (16, 19) when the part of the animal is detected in the predetermined position.

摘要: An animal actuated drinking fountain has an electronic circuit for operating a pump to supply water to an animal. The fountain has a housing with a container for holding the water. A pump receives water from the container and has an upward directed discharge port for creating a fountain of water. A light emitter and light sensor are positioned so a beam of pulsed light is positioned above the surface of the water in the container. When the animal interrupts the beam of pulsed light, electronic circuitry causes the pump to turn on and create a fountain of water for the animal to drink.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a portable drink container for pets that the pet owner can carry while walking the pet or engaging in activities that result in the pet being thirsty. The portable drink container includes a fluid vessel having an upwardly extending neck with an outlet opening. A removable cap has a central aperture and a cavity that engages the vessel neck. A drinking bowl includes a bottom wall with a central opening defined by an internal edge of the bottom wall. A lower peripheral channel of the cap slidingly receives the bottom wall edge to connect the cap and the drink bowl, whereby the cap extends through the central opening of the bowl. A flexible conduit is positioned within the vessel and extends the cap and the central opening of the drink bowl. The conduit defines a passageway for fluid to travel from the vessel into the drink bowl. An elastomeric plug may be secured within the cap to stabilize the conduit. The pet owner applies a compressive force on the vessel to increase the hydrostatic pressure thereby forcing liquid through the conduit and into the drink bowl for consumption by the pet.

摘要: A drinking fountain for pets has a base with a water receptacle therein and a dome-shaped reserve water tank on the base. A drinking bowl on the top of the tank and a pump system for conveying water in the receptacle to the drinking bowl. Water pumped into the bowl overflows the bowl and flows down over a portion of the surface of the reserve water tank and returns to the receptacle. When the water in the receptacle falls below a predetermined level, water from the reserve tank automatically flow from the tank to the receptacle to increase the water to the prescribed level.

摘要: Systems and methods for watering animals generally include a container having an inner recess. A pump directs water from the inner recess of the container through a fluid column, which may contain filter medium. One or more spouts are located at a terminal end of the fluid column and direct the water in one or more streams back to the inner recess of the container. The spouts may be associated with one of various spout plates that can be interchanged with one another and adjusted to orient the streams of water. Some embodiments employ a restrictor plate that may be variably positioned within the flow of water. Other embodiments provide a variable speed pump that incrementally adjusts the rate of flow.
