摘要： A cigarette-making method is provided, comprising forming an elongate tobacco rod having a non-circular cross-sectional shape and opposed ends, by circumscribing a tobacco charge with a wrapping material. A filter element is formed having opposed ends and a non-circular cross-sectional shape corresponding to the cross-sectional shape of the tobacco rod, by circumscribing a filter material with a plug wrap material. One end of the tobacco rod is axially aligned and abutted with one end of the filter element, and a tipping material is applied about the tobacco rod and the filter element, wherein the tipping material extends across the abutting ends thereof, so as to join the tobacco rod with the filter element and form a cigarette having a non-circular cross-sectional shape along a length thereof. Associated apparatuses and methods are also provided.

摘要： A cigarette is provided with the tobacco column portion adjacent the filter assembly encased by a heat shrink material whereby as the burn approaches the butt the heat shrink material begins to contract radially and compress the encased tobacco column restricting the air flow therethrough. This reduces the diameter of burning column adjacent the filter assembly and thus extinguishes or at least confines the remaining tobacco in the cigarette.

摘要： A test system and a test method for a lip sticking force of tipping paper for cigarettes are provided. The test system includes an artificial lip and test equipment. The artificial lip is a silica gel block. The test equipment includes a friction meter testing platform, a force measuring sensor, a rigid rope, a pulley, a pulley bracket and a sample loading module. The pulley is installed on the pulley bracket, and the rigid rope slides in the pulley. The rigid rope is L-shaped, a first end of the rigid rope in a horizontal direction is connected to the force measuring sensor, and a second end of the rigid rope in a vertical direction is connected to the sample loading module. The artificial lip is located directly below the sample loading module, and the artificial lip is in contact with the sample loading module at a test position.
