摘要: A steel barrel rotation assembly for rotating a steel barrel for manufacturing a steelpan drum includes a base that is positionable on a horizontal support surface, a plurality of legs extending upwardly from the base and a mounting disk attached to the plurality of legs. A rotation disk is rotatably disposed on the mounting disk and a steel barrel can be positioned on the rotation disk. A drive unit is coupled to the mounting disk and the drive unit mechanically engages the rotation disk. The drive unit rotates the rotation disk when the drive unit is turned on to rotate the steel barrel. A plurality of holders is each of the holders is slidably disposed on the rotation disk. Each of the holders extends upwardly from the rotation disk to engage the steel barrel for securing the steel barrel on the rotation disk.

摘要: A spinning forming method includes a first forming step and a second forming step, in each of which a plate fixed to a main shaft is formed while being rotated. In the first forming step, a processing tool is brought into contact with a first main surface of the plate to form a first level-changing portion extending from the first main surface toward a second main surface. In the second forming step, the processing tool is brought into contact with the second main surface at an outer peripheral side of the first level-changing portion to form a second level-changing portion extending in an opposite direction to the first level-changing portion.

摘要: A spinning forming apparatus shapes a plate while rotating the plate around a rotational axis. The spinning forming apparatus includes: a holding member to which the plate is attached and which rotates the plate around the rotational axis; a processing tool configured to contact a first main surface of the plate to process and shape the plate; and a heater configured to heat the plate. The heater is arranged at the opposite side of the processing tool across the plate. The heater locally heats a position of a second main surface of the plate opposite to the first main surface, the position being located on a circumference around the rotational axis, the circumference being defined by a position, with which the processing tool contacts, of the plate.

摘要: A musical instrument and method of making the surface of a musical instrument for use as a pan drum includes providing a sheet of metal, securing an outer peripheral region of the sheet of metal such that it is mechanically clamped or held and bringing an the inner region of the sheet of metal and a forming member together in such a manner as to provide a force therebetween while relatively rotating the sheet and the forming member so as to form a bowl which is used as an upper or lower surface of a drum. A thickness of the hemisphere of the bowl varies radially from the outside edge to the central axis such that a region therebetween has a thickness that is at least 30% less than a thickness of the outside edge or a thickness about the central axis.

摘要: A flow-forming method and apparatus, in which a blank is placed on a rolling mandrel of a flow-forming machine, the blank is rotated relative to at least one flow-forming roll, the at least one flow-forming roll is infed radially and/or axially relative to the blank, and the blank is axially lengthened by the flow-forming roll and flow-formed to a workpiece. The method and apparatus compensate dimensional variations of the blank by working at least one compensating area into the workpiece, determining, before and/or during flow-forming, geometrical data of the blank and/or workpiece with a measuring device, obtaining a desired final geometry of the workpiece by individually calculating the geometrical parameters of the at least one compensating area as a function of the geometrical data determined, and controlling the infeed of the flow-forming roll in accordance with the calculated geometrical parameters of the compensating area, so that a workpiece with the desired final geometry can be formed independently of dimensional variations of the blank.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method for forming an end portion of a tube. The method includes rotating the tube about a longitudinal axis, heating the end portion of the tube, and forming the end portion of the tube by reciprocating a forming member along a succession of curved forming paths. Each curved forming path is tangent to and curves away from a corresponding one of a succession of angularly spaced apart, substantially straight reference lines. A forming reduction is provided between each curved forming path and its corresponding one of the reference lines.
