    摘要: According to an embodiment, a signal processing device includes a first integrator, a second integrator, a switcher, and a calculator. The first integrator is configured to integrate a current represented by a reference waveform equivalent to a normal waveform in a case of no pileup phenomenon regarding the current to calculate a first electrical charge. The second integrator is configured to integrate a current output from a photoelectric converter to calculate a second electrical charge. The switcher is configured to, when a pileup phenomenon has occurred, perform switching either to a state in which the first and second electrical charges are output or to a state in which the first electrical charge and a reference charge are output. The calculator is configured to calculate a first difference charge between the first and second electrical charges, and calculate a second difference charge between the first electrical charge and the reference charge.

The method further includes resetting the integrator synchronously with a sampling clock when a limit condition is reached.

    摘要: A method is provided for processing a spectrum, obtained using a particle detection system, so as to reduce spectrum artifacts arising from unresolved particle events in the detection system. An input spectrum is obtained which contains artifacts due to “pile up” in the detector. A first effect upon the input spectrum of pairs of unresolved particle events is evaluated and a first corrected input spectrum is generated which comprises the input spectrum with the first effect removed. The effect of a pairs of unresolved particle events is then evaluated for this first corrected input spectrum so as to generate a second corrected input spectrum which comprises the input spectrum with the second effect removed. An output spectrum is then generated based upon a combination of the first and second corrected input spectra. The use of the method in improving sum spectra is also discussed.

The information extracted can include a photon-counting rate. An intelligent multiplexer that, based on the photon-counting rate, modifies interconnection of the photon-counting detectors and analog-to-digital conversion circuits and provides digital photon-counting signals for a selected set of the analog-to-digital converters to the processor.

The flux estimator (70) receives its input (Vi), from which the flux of photons is estimated, from a processing stage that is independent of the output of the signal processing circuit.     摘要: A method and apparatus for determining a parameter vector that includes a plurality of parameters of a detector pileup model of a photon-counting detector, the detector pileup model being used for pileup correction for a spectral computed-tomography scanner. The method includes setting values of the parameters, the parameters including a dead time parameter and individual probabilities of different pileup events, the probabilities including a probability of single photon events, a probability of double quasi-coincident photon events, and a probability of at least three quasi-coincident photon events. The method include determining, using (1) a detector response model, (2) an incident spectrum, and (3) the set values of the parameter vector, a plurality of component spectra, each component spectrum corresponding to one of the individual probabilities of the different pileup events, and summing the plurality of component spectra to generate an output spectrum.
