Abstract: A backlight module comprises a back plate, a light-guiding plate arranged at the back plate and a light source module. The light-guiding plate has an incident surface and an emitting surface connected to each other. The light source module has a base board and at least one light-emitting unit. The base board is disposed at the emitting surface of the light-guiding plate. The light-emitting unit is mounted at the base board and faces the incident surface of the light-guiding plate. The base board comprises an electrically-connecting portion and at least one heat dissipation portion. The electrically-connecting portion is electrically connected to the light-emitting unit. The heat dissipation portion extends from the electrically-connecting portion toward a direction away from the light-guiding plate without being electrically connected to the light-emitting unit. A display device having the backlight module is also provided.

Abstract: A LED lighting system includes a power supply, a LED controller, and a light guide plate having a top, a bottom, and an edge. A printed circuit board connected to the power supply is positioned at least partially under the bottom of the light guide plate. At least one surface-emitting LED is positioned on the printed circuit board adjacent to the light guide plate and directed to emit light vertically. A partially transmissive reflector is attached to extend between the top of the edge of the light guide plate and the printed circuit board to direct vertically emitted light from the at least one surface-emitting LED into the edge of the light guide plate.

Abstract: A downlight apparatus includes a driver box, a light source, a light housing, multiple leaf springs, multiple shaft connectors and multiple pads. The light housing has a light holder and a rim. The light holder has a holder plate and a holder wall defining a holder cavity. The multiple leaf springs are placed between the driver box and the light holder. Each pad has a pad hole and a pad scraper surrounding the pad hole. The pad scraper has a protruding part engaging an electric insulation layer on a top side of the holder plate. The shaft connector sequentially passes through a spring hole of the leaf spring, the pad hole and the top plate of the light holder. The protruding part of the pad scraper scraps a portion of the electric insulation layer of the holder plate for connecting the holder plate to ground.

Abstract: A downlight apparatus includes a light source, a light holder, a driver box, a fixing bracket and two torsion springs. The light holder is used for placing the light source. The light holder has a first side defining a light opening. The driver box is placed on a second side of the light holder. The driver box contains a driver for converting an external power to a driving current supplied to the light source to emit a light from the light opening. The fixing bracket is coupled to the light holder for fixing to an installation cavity. The fixing bracket has a bottom plate and two connector plate. The bottom plate is fixed to the second side of the light holder. The two connector plates are disposed vertically to the bottom plate. Each connector plate has two side units. Each torsion spring has an elastic center and two arms.

Abstract: An electronic device adapted for an expansion card is provided. The electronic device includes a main board and a light guide heat dissipation module. The main board includes a connector and a light source disposed beside the connector. The light guide heat dissipation module is detachably disposed on a position of the main board near the connector and is adapted to be thermally coupled to the expansion card inserted in the connector. The light guide heat dissipation module includes a first heat dissipation member, a second heat dissipation member thermally coupled to the first heat dissipation member, and a first light guide member disposed between the first heat dissipation member and the second heat dissipation member. The first heat dissipation member includes an opening, and the opening exposes a portion of the first light guide member. When the light guide heat dissipation module is disposed on the main board, light emitted by the light source is adapted to be guided by the first light guide member to the opening of the first heat dissipation member.
