摘要： A grab handle assembly with integrated articulating hook is disclosed comprising base elements and a handle pivotal on the base elements between closed and an open positions. A pivot pin is fixed to the handle and pivotally supported on a base element. A hook is pivotally supported on the pivot pin and is movable between a stored and a deployed position. In one form a resilient finger on the hook coacts with surfaces on the pivot pin to provide resistance to movement of the hook between the stored and deployed positions. The pin is configured to provide varied resistance at different hook positions.

摘要： An articulating hook assembly adapted to pivot between open and closed positions as desired. The assembly includes a support frame, a hook pivot base of cloven construction projecting outwardly away from the support frame and a support hook adapted to pivotally engage the hook pivot base. The hook pivot base includes a pair of ear members separated by a variable width gap. At least one ear member includes a contoured inner face with a pattern of variable height surface structures including at least a first depression and a second depression with a raised height platform disposed between the first depression and a second depression. A projection finger on the support hook rides in sandwiched relation within the variable width gap such that upon rotation of the support hook between open and closed positions, the finger projection moves across the raised height platform surface between the first depression and a second depression.

The body (1) is comprised of an outer case (1a), a rod-like inner core (3) with a head (4), a bushing (6) slidably mounted on the core (3), a sleeve (7) in sliding engagement on the bushing (6), an axial thrust spring (9) arranged between two opposite shoulders (6a) and (7a) of the bushing (6) and of the sleeve (7), and a second thrust spring (10) arranged between the head (4) and the top of the bushing (6). The body (1) is connected to the support (2) at a pivot point (5). An end of the sleeve (7) engages a contact surface of the support (2) through a collar (8). The collar (8) has an inner conical mouth surface that engages a shaped rib (11) on the top of said support (2), where the shaped rib (11) has a frusto-conical outer surface.

The assist grip includes an outer cylinder member, a first divisional body, a second divisional body, and an elastic reinforcement member. 摘要： An arcuate spring is coupled between a fixed vehicle member and a movable vehicle member with a pivot connection between the members interposed between the ends of the spring such that, as the movable member is moved from a first position, the axis of the pivot connection is located outside of a line intersecting the ends of the spring, thereby holding the movable member in a first position. When the movable member is moved to a second position, the pivot connection lies between the spring and a line connecting the end points of the spring to provide a bias force which holds the movable member in a second position. In one embodiment, the over-center spring is integrated with a grab handle for holding the grab handle in a deployed or retracted position. In another embodiment, the spring is associated with a vehicle panel.
