Abstract:
A vehicle for collecting and hauling material includes a truck chassis and a detachable truck body/semi trailer. The detachable truck body/semi trailer includes a body having a rear end, a front end, and a bottom surface, a frame coupled to the bottom surface, the frame extending from proximate the rear end to a position spaced a distance from the front end, and an axle mounted to the frame. A coupling assembly couples the truck body/semi trailer to the truck chassis and is movable between a truck body configuration in which the frame abuts the truck frame and articulation of the detachable truck body/semi trailer is prevented and a semi trailer configuration wherein the frame is spaced apart from the truck frame and articulation of the detachable truck body/semi trailer is permitted.
Abstract:
A children's cycle comprising frames, wheels under the frames and a push-handle connected with the frames. The push-handle is arcuate in shape and movably connected with the frames. The push-handle may be turned down to the underside of the cycle body with its arcuate concave facing upward so that the cycle body is supported by the push-handle. The push-handle may be used for pushing or pulling the cycle, and may be turned down to the underside of the cycle body for rocking the cycle forward and backward.
Abstract:
Fold flat walking or jogging strollers, as well as various fold flat cargo carrier devices are disclosed, which include at least three wheels which may have pivoting wheel support units and alternative foldable support frame embodiments are disclosed. The wheel support units include, in various embodiments, simple manually manipulable methods to latch each wheel in the operative or stowed flat positions, which effectively allows the device to fold to a flat profile without any part or wheel being detached. Associated innovations include a unique forward wheel folding system, a pivoting or floating transverse axle replicating unit (nullfalse axlenull), which pivots and latches to replicate a typical fixed wheel axle, but conveniently pivots to a fold flat stowed position. The innovations may also be applied to miscellaneous other types of wheeled carrier devices besides strollers, such as gurneys, golf bag carriers, and hunting game carriers as several examples, and also parking brake and alternative latch release methods are disclosed.
Abstract:
A hitch adapter for coupling a first vehicle having a king pin mounted thereon to a standard ball hitch. The adapter comprises a vertically adjustable body and a remotely operated latching mechanism. The adapter may have a cone-shaped top with a serrated edge for securely attaching the adapter to a king pin box. The adapter further comprises a bell-shaped opening for receiving the ball hitch, the bell-shaped opening being larger than the ball hitch. The invention further comprises a method of coupling a first vehicle with a king pin and king pin box mounted thereon to a second vehicle with a ball hitch. A hitch adapter kit is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A selectable trailer hitch apparatus is attached to a vehicle and includes a vehicle attachment member attached to the vehicle. With a first embodiment, the vehicle attachment member is a single horizontal structure. With additional embodiments, the vehicle attachment member includes a first horizontal hitch assembly support portion, a riser support portion, and a second horizontal hitch assembly support portion. The selectable trailer hitch apparatus permits one of a plurality of trailer hitches to be used at a time for a particular trailer. A base plate is attached to the vehicle attachment member. The base plate extends in a horizontal orientation and includes an axle reception channel. A plurality of trailer hitches are connected to the top side of the hitch-supporting selector plate. An axle is connected to the bottom side of the hitch-supporting selector plate, and the axle is inserted into the axle reception channel.
Abstract:
RECEPTACLE for use with a vehicle equipped with a vehicle receiver. The vehicle tow accessory attaches to a vehicle receiver and facilitates the transport of trash receptacles along driveways or small roads. The invention comprises separate parts that allow for adjustments to accommodate trash receptacles of various sizes. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, a trash receptacle tilts back to lean on a platform of the invention and is secured via chains or tethers.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for providing a displaceable ball hitch assembly configured to be mounted in a bed of a truck. The displaceable ball hitch assembly includes a platform track, a displaceable platform, a gate member and a driving mechanism. The platform track defines a track space therein and is configured to be mounted in the bed of the truck. The displaceable platform is configured to be positioned in the track space and includes a ball hitch coupled thereto. The gate member is configured to be coupled to the platform track and includes a gate portion extendable into the track space. The driving mechanism is configured to be operatively coupled to the gate member and is configured to automatically displace the gate portion from the track space to facilitate displacement of the displaceable platform upon manual activation from a cab of the truck.
Abstract:
An easily installed and removed conversion system for a camper/trailer fifth-wheel hitch to a conventional bed mounted 50-59 mm steel ball which itself can be removed to clear the truck bed. The system consists of four basic sections: (1) The upper end steel load distribution thrust plate which attaches to the existing king pin of the trailer/camper utilizing a tapered ring and easy to tighten or loosen specially tapered set screws; (2) The lower section or coupling which interfaces with the ball that is mounted on the tow vehicle; (3) The cylindrical mid section or extension, welded to the thrust plate and which connects the upper and lower sections together; (4) The optionally removable truck bed mounted ball that may be replaced with a bed hole plug leaving the bed unobstructed while the trailer/camper is not connected.
Abstract:
A combination vehicle passenger seat/child stroller apparatus is adapted to be releasably secured to floor-board seat tracks of a vehicle. The apparatus is selectively convertible between a stroller mode for use outside the vehicle and a seat mode for supporting an adult or child passenger inside the vehicle. The apparatus includes an upright body portion and a corresponding first cushion, a bottom body portion and a corresponding second cushion, where the bottom body portion is operatively coupled to the upright body portion. Also included are front wheels and rear wheels, and front arms and rear arms each having proximal and distal ends. The distal ends of the front arms are operatively connected to the front wheels, and the distal ends of the rear arms operatively connected to the rear wheels. The proximal ends of the arms are pivotally connected to either the upright body portion or the bottom body portion. The front and rear arms are configured to pivot and fold inwardly such that in the seat mode, either the front arms or rear arms secure the apparatus to the seat tracks of the vehicle. When in stroller mode, the front and rear arms are configured to pivot and extend outwardly.
