    摘要： The neck of a container has a smooth seal surface engaged by the inner skirt or plug of a cap. Such surface is free of trim and parting line flaws which are characteristic of blow-molded jars because the surface is formed in such a way that the seal surface is not in contact with mold parting lines and further the trim (excess plastic) of the neck is located away from the sealing surface. In one form of the disclosure, above the sealing surface the neck wall slants outward and then bends upward-inward in a short, tapered stretch about 18 degree to the horizontal which engages the underside of the cap disk to compress against the disk or a liner or foil. Other forms of seal surfaces are disclosed In another form of the invention, above the seal surface the neck extends outward and then upward and then inward in a flange which is trimmed along a line which has a circumference no less than the circumference of the seal surface. The exterior of the neck is formed with shoulders or screw threads which engage over locking beads or threads on the interior of the outer skirt of the cap. Caps suitable for combination with the neck, methods of forming the neck and mold apparatus for forming the neck are also disclosed.

    摘要： A tamper-evident closure for a container includes an outer tamper-evident cap engagable over an inner container sealing cap which may form part of the tamper-evident closure or part of the container, cap retaining prongs on the outer cap which permit placement of the outer cap on the container neck over the sealing cap but prevent upward removal of the outer cap from the container, a tear strip for severing the outer cap between its upper and lower ends to permit upward removal of the upper portion of the outer cap from the container, and a circumferential rupture line along which the outer cap separates to evidence tampering if an attempt is made to forcibly remove the outer cap from the container without tearing the tear strip from the outer cap.

    摘要： A tamper-resistant closure includes a cap provided with several cap retainers adapted to engage an annular ridge surrounding a discharge valve mounted on a can and a removable tamper band coupled to a lower edge of the cap to define an undulated frangible tear line between the cap and the tamper band. Several band retainers are provided on the tamper band and adapted to engage the annular ridge. The band retainers cooperate with the cap retainers to help retain the closure on the can while the tamper band remains coupled to the cap. Once the tamper band is removed, the cap retainers engage the annular ridge on the can and cooperate to retain the remaining cap on the can.

    摘要： A plastic cap of this invention is opened by tearing-off and is comprising a top plate provided with a sealing portion to be engaged with the mouth of a container, a skirt extending perpendicularly from the top plate, and a tear-off portion arranged around the skirt and defining an upper closure portion for resealing and a lower opening band, wherein in the inner surface of the skirt, at an upper position than the tear-off portion, a diametrically inwardly-directed protrusion which is engaged with a jaw of the container is formed peripherally intermittently, simultaneously, at a lower position than the tear-off portion, a flap piece whose tip portion is engaged with the jaw of the bottle is formed peripherally intermittently, and the engaged protrusion and the flap piece are formed at least alternately in most of the peripheral direction. The plastic cap has excellent sealing reliability, easy openability, and tamper-evident property while the cap height is lowered and the resin weight of the resin is reduced.
