    摘要: A rail seat which includes a) a rail tie b) a pair of rail fastening support shoulders mounted on said rail tie so that a rail can be held to the tie between said shoulders each shoulder having a a rail face and side portions on each side of said rail face extending away from the rail c) a rail pad adapted to lie on said tie between said shoulders which has a pair of projections extending parallel to the tie along side each side portion of each shoulder. The rail seat is adapted to be used with a deep post insulator and incorporates a rib on the support shoulder extending from each side portion against which a face of the rail pad projections abut to locate the pad in position to accommodate the post of the insulator. The rail pad projections are proportioned to prevent the pad from moving out of position under the creep load conditions present when rail cars pass over the rail seat. A resilient tab is provided on each projection to abut the side portions of the support shoulder to retain the pad in position between the support shoulders during transport of the rail tie to the installation site.

    摘要: A fastener having a grip member (1) that is insertable into a mounting space (3) of a hollow structure (2) and serves in the detachable fastening of an object to the hollow structure. The grip member (1) is rotatable inside the hollow structure such that the grip member (1) grips behind holding projections provided inwardly of the hollow body longitudinal walls. The holding projections are for fastening of the object between a stop (7), that outwardly abuts the edges of the hollow structure's longitudinal walls (4) lining the mounting space and can be fixedly clamped to the grip member (1). A spring biased element (13) acting perpendicular to the stop (7) is arranged between the grip member and the stop. The result is that pre-fixation of the fastener to the hollow structure is made possible. By means of a coupling (15) between the stop (7) and the rear grip member (1) its positions are precisely fixed.

The railroad clip applicator system includes a housing, a handle structure attached to the housing, an actuator secured within the housing, an engaging structure attached to the actuator for engaging a fastening clip, and a pair of lower arms extending from the housing to engage a lower side of a rail. The engaging structure is comprised of a pair of guide pins slidably positioned within the housing, and an engaging member having a center member and a rear member for engaging the rear portion of the fastening clip. The actuator forces the engaging structure forwardly thereby causing the fastening clip to slide within the tapered slot of the receiver bracket until the fastening clip is fully secured upon the receiver bracket.

    摘要: A rail brace assembly provides positive support for a stock rail mounted on a switch brace plate. The assembly includes a rail brace that it is installed over a fixed block attached to the brace plate. The block has a slot and a channel that accept a mating rib and tapered wings connected to the underside of the rail brace. The interaction of these elements provides vertical restraint for the rail brace. The brace assembly includes a stop that is secured to the brace plate and a tapered wedge that is disposed between the stop and the rail brace. Upon driving the wedge longitudinally of the rail, lateral force is applied to the rail brace and the rail. The stop and the wedge employ a longitudinally extending tongue and groove to prevent relative vertical movement therebetween. The junction between the wedge and the rail brace is defined by mating convex-concave surfaces. A shear member such as a cotter pin prevents the wedge from being retracted once the wedge has been driven to a desired longitudinal position. Because the wedge cannot be moved inadvertently, lateral force will be applied continuously to the rail brace by the wedge.

    摘要: Concrete railroad ties are made having steel plates cast directly into the concrete railroad tie so that the top surface of each steel plate is even with the top surface of the concrete railroad tie. Fasteners for the rails can be welded to anywhere within the steel plate. Additionally, each steel plate can be cast into one of two different positions of the concrete railroad tie thus, creating more flexibility as to the positions of the rail fasteners on the railroad tie and reducing the length of the steel plate needed by half to three inches. By utilizing this assembly, the amount of concrete the patterns needed in a turnout is reduced.

The bezel is biased towards the top of the guide rail by the spring. The top of the guide rail includes a plurality of detents for securing the tie-down hoop in a desired position.
